"The Technology Integration Matrix (TIM) provides a foundation for professional development for technology integration and a common vocabulary for talking about effective uses of technology in teaching and learning.... The newly revised TIM was launched in February 2011, and features 100 classroom video example lesson plans, revised and expanded descriptions of student activity, teacher activity, and instructional settings for each TIM cell, focus pages for each characteristic and level, new professional development resources, and indices for grade levels and digital tools. The site includes 25 videos lesson examples in each of four core subject areas - math, science, language arts, and social studies. These lessons were videotaped in classrooms across Florida. "The Technology Integration Matrix (TIM) illustrates how teachers can use technology to enhance learning for K-12 students. The TIM incorporates five interdependent characteristics of meaningful learning environments: active, constructive, goal directed (i.e., reflective), authentic, and collaborative (Jonassen, Howland, Moore, & Marra, 2003). The TIM associates five levels of technology integration (i.e., entry, adoption, adaptation, infusion, and transformation) with each of the five characteristics of meaningful learning environments. Together, the five levels of technology integration and the five characteristics of meaningful learning environments create a matrix of 25 cells. " This is an amazing resource for teacher training. TIM is easily accessbile and recommends you look at grade levels beyond your own for ideas.

N. Hockly's blog gives a nice description of a mobile lesson plan using a QR reader. This lesson boosted student energy and enthusiasm and built on language the students generated themselves. Some "newness" effect was no doubt present, but it's a nice start for beginning learners.

This blog has a series of lessons using different media to help kids experiment with painting. Have students write about their work and the process afterwards. Appropriate for K-5, but lessons are adaptable to adults, who also have fun making art.

Detailed lesson plan to get students to use animated RSA style movies to learn and teach each other. Good way to get some critical and creative thinking into your lessons.

A great lesson plan for writing collaboratively. Students extract memento and write them on large cards/pieces of paper. They then create the poem by placing the cards on the floor or table. The teacher (or students) select a topic that the quotations should reflect. It makes students thing about the real meanings within the text. Students discuss their found quotations as they write them. The 5 min. video shows students discussing and coming to realizations as they collect and collaborate. Great speaking, writing, reading activity.

This site has many readings, mostly non-fiction, graded by U.S. school grade level (K-6), with accompanying lesson plans and connections to U.S. Common standards. Nice to have pre-made lessons, but the readings are not authentic, of course. Use as supplemental activity, or cheap source of downloadable pdf files with readings and activities.

A lesson in writing and reading poetry. Poetry is a great way to introduce students to the idea that English is not only for science, but can also express feelings vividly. This activity makes a good lesson plan for listening, discussion, speaking, reading, and writing. Can be adapted to many ages-levels.

A compilation of math post with links to great sites for teach math. Several of these are detailed videos describing key standards in the common core by grade level. Some are how to teach items, others virtual manipulatives, lessons plans, ways to brush up on a subject or use flipped learning.

A crazy huge collection of free curriculum resources, well sorted by age, theme, subject, et al., and with a search engine. These would be great for lessons in geography, history, social studies, ecology, intercultural understanding, etc. Many of the resources are activities, such as "Be an African Family" where you decide how to make the most of the rural village where you live.

Peer teaching as a way to use technology to allow students to show what they learned and confirm their ideas. Older students tutor younger ones. A thorough lesson plan that includes communication skills and audience-oriented presentation plans.

TEFLclips is a site dedicated to the possibilities for YouTube and other video sharing sites in the classroom. Every week a new lesson plan is uploaded. This looks like a good site for online lessons, esp for business English.
