A great Add-on for Google Spreadsheets. Find the Save As Doc Add-on and it will be attached to all your spreadsheets in Google Drive. Select rows or columns to have the text saved to your Google docs account.

You will need to use a rubric app (freely available) to set up a rubric in your Google Drive at Spreadsheets.

"Many schools are currently using Forms as a way to easily and quickly record data from teacher observations. The advantage is of using a Google Form is that it compiles all the data into a spreadsheet which allows school leaders to quickly and easily see trends in the school's classrooms." Suggests that the administrator can also use the Google spreadsheet to collect data on what teachers are doing in the school as a whole. This might be a very useful tool, especially as you could get students to fill in their own vocabulary or content to be studied. The application creates flashcards that look like index cards (red line at the top, lined content section. Paste your published Googe spreadsheet link into the box at the website and it will generate a link to a set of online cards to share. Free

"FormLimiter is a script that you can install in the Google Spreadsheet in which you are collecting responses from a Google Form. The script allows you to limit the number of responses to a form, limit the number of characters in a response, and set a time at which the form will automatically stop accepting responses. " This solves the problem of setting a cut-off time for quizzes. Includes a step-by-step illustrated tutorial.

This Google docs page aligns the apps that can be used to address various aspects of Bloom's Taxonomy. The list is regularly updated by the curates. The "How Do You Use It?" column has lots of ideas for teaching, with an emphasis on creativity and content-based learning. Rich resource. A similar spreadsheet for apps to use with Common Core goals would be very helpful. T/H to A. Burns

Very similar to Engrade. Offered in a dozen languages as well. Nice tutorials. Links to other Google apps, such as Calendar and Docs and Spreadsheets. Mobile able.

Twitter has a nice API for collecting tweets around a particular hashtag. This is especially useful if you have created an event and want to use a Twitter thread for continuing conversations. The API uses Google Spreadsheets and it allows conversations among participants to be "replayed" with an infographic. Very nice archived visualization.

This is a great digital images project using photos of graffiti on Flickr, and a spreadsheet of questions on Google Forms. Students sign in to select images that will support the ideas they write about. Thanks to Webhead Sasa! Also included are links to posts that Sasa's students made and responses from Rita Z's student sin Argentina. Nice example of collaborative Web 2.0. (Caution, some graffiti have adult language and themes!)

Searching by file type and searching by domains is a great way for students to refine their Google searches. Searching for and within a DOC, a PPT, or XLS file can lead students to resources that they might not otherwise have seen.

A good basis for grading a creative project that might include research, writing, oral presentation, and reflective blogging.
