"Looking for some good interactive eBooks for your kids to read this summer? The list below is a great place to start with. These are basically iPad storybook apps that are designed specifically to enhance kids early literacy skills most specifically reading. All of these  eBooks come with awesome graphics and animations and include a wide variety of interactive  activities to keep kids engaged in their reading."

YouTube has a firm place in the current classroom. From Khan Academy's videos to YouTube EDU and beyond, there's a reason all these videos are finding a home in schools. In an effort to help keep the ball rolling, Google just launched a set of 10 interactive lessons designed to support teachers in educating students on digital citizenship. A topic obviously quite close to Google's heart. Google (which owns YouTube) built the lessons to educate students about YouTube's policies, how to flag content, how to be a safer online citizen, and protect their identities. Below is a list of lessons, and the recommended flow for delivery. Lessons are designed to fit within 50 minute classes, but can be adapted to fit your schedule:

A great interactive challenge for grade 5/6 middle group students for exploring some order of operations equations. Headphones and computer required.

Google Drive is Google's cloud storage  with15 GB free of charge. This is probably one of the best productivity suites that  has a huge potential for us in education.  Besides being able to store our files and access them anywhere with internet connection, Google Drive also enables us to view, share and collaborate in real time while creating a document, spreadsheet or making a drawing. Though we've talked about digital citizenship in the past, since we're constantly using technology and interacting in digital communities, an ongoing discussion about digital citizenship isn't a waste of time, but rather a necessity.

Technology has been changing the way people learn and interact for thousands of years. Many researchers argue that major innovations adopted by society have an effect on the structure of the human brain. There is little doubt that the Internet has changed the way people find information and the way they communicate. Changes to the way that students learn, and probably what they learn, need to follow.

Explain Everything is one of the best interactive whiteboard and screencasting app out there. I have featured it here in several posts in the past and today I am sharing with you some of the awesome things you can do with this app as explained by Morris Cooke.
