This is SET-BC consultant Paul Hamilton's list of udl resources. These are mostly free applications such as text readers and digital story-telling resources that are a good fit with udl principles.

This became my 500th bookmark on Diigo thanks to Jim Batchel. If you are trying to figure out whether blogs/wikis/ning is better for your students, it looks like you can have it all and more at ThinkQuest! You need an account to sign in but under the Projects tab you can look at some public video tours of its features. ThinkQuest is a protected, online learning platform that enables teachers to integrate learning projects into their classroom curriculum and students to develop critical 21st century skills. It includes a project environment where teachers and students engage in collaborative learning; a competition space where students participate in website development contests; and the award-winning ThinkQuest library, a learning resource visited by millions.

This is a narrated tour of the main Web2.0 writing tools currently available. I bookmarked for the excellent content but also as a great example of how to use Flowgram to do a narrated web tour.

iLearn Technology is one of the best blogs I've seen for teaching educators about integrating technology and computer curriculum into the classroom. Kelly Tenkely presents the latest Web2.0 gadgets but also writes about how she's using them in her grade 5 classroom.

This site introduces you to the options for using technology in your classroom, e.g. webcasts, webcams, current news sources, inquiry-learning. Even more important, it explains why it's important to make instruction meaningful, current, and engaging for today's students. This is a great place to start exploring your options for integrating technology in the classroom.

SET-BC is a Provincial Resource Program designed to assist school districts in British Columbia in meeting the assistive technology needs of students with physical disabilities and visual impairments. There are lots of free downloadable tutorials and curriculum materials associated with AT programs such as Kurzweil, Clicker5, Boardmaker, and others at this site.

This site offers 100 great web tools and classifies them according to learning styles. Students can bookmark it and choose the tools that will help them get projects done, or the teacher can help them choose one that will work best. Great tool!

This is a toy for generating word clouds from text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, colours, and layouts. Take a screen shot to save your creation as there isn't a way to export as a jpeg. Wordles would make great title pages or slides and could be a fun class brainstorming activity or a way for kids to practice writing their spelling words.

Two brilliant high school chemistry teachers have completely switched the lecture at school/homework at home paradigm. Their students watch the lecture at home as a vodcast (on computer, iPod, or DVD) and do problem sets at school with help from the teachers. Check out the news story from the local TV station.
