Plants have many valuable functions: They provide food and fuel, release the oxygen that we breathe, and add beauty to our surroundings. Now, researchers wants to make plants even more useful by augmenting them with nanomaterials that could enhance their energy production and give them completely new functions, such as monitoring environmental pollutants.

It does not only give you superhuman abilities... it also makes you look hideous beyond human imagination :-P Nonetheless, it seems really interesting to bring all these separately existing technologies together in a single augmented reality device.

Looks like fun! Note though, I'm always slightly annoyed when people use holography only because it sounds cool. because clearly this is not a hologram! Definition: a three-dimensional image formed by the interference of light beams from a laser or other coherent light source. I am sure this is not what is happening in these goggles.

I think they suspect that "hologram" would sell better than "yet-another-augmented-reality-goggle"

so that's hypopyrexia (augmented concentrations of interleukin-1 receptor antagonist) AND hypothermia (convection/evaportation)? what puzzles me is that temperatures take so long to return to baseline after astronauts return to earth.
