Multiple Submission Quirk - and Work-Around We've learned recently that there is a quirk with Crocodoc when there are multiple submissions. When a student submits more than one assignment attempt, you can choose which to grade from SpeedGrader. If you grade an earlier attempt and provide feedback via Crocodoc on the assignment, the student can only view the latest submission, thereby missing any feedback you provide. There is no way for the student to choose which assignment submission to view. As a workaround, you can annotate on Crocodoc and then download the annotated document to attach to your comment. A PDF version of the assignment file (with annotations) can be downloaded by both student and instructor.

I am trying to count cells based on multiple criteria from multiple cell ranges using google docs.  In Excel the formula is simply: =COUNTIFS(S2:S26, "IN", E2:E26, "A") This would select all of the cells with the word "IN" and the Letter "A" in the same corresponding row.  Can anyone help me figure out a workaround for not being able to use the "countifs" function in google spreadsheet?

Classroom response systems ("clickers") can turn multiple-choice questions-often seen to be as limited as assessment tools-into effective tools for engaging students during class.  When using this technology, an instructor first poses a multiple-choice question.  Each student responds using a handheld transmitter (or "clicker").  Software on the classroom computer displays the distribution of student responses.  Although many multiple-choice questions found on exams work well as clicker questions, there are several kinds of multiple-choice questions less appropriate for exams that function very well to promote learning, particularly deep learning, during class when used with clickers.

DotSub is mostly for collaboratively translating excellent videos into multiple languages, but the end result is that you get subtitled videos!  Here's an example - a collection of the "in plain English" videos embedded into this wiki page: https://confluence.delhi.edu/x/IwBiB Each one has a dropdown where you can select the subtitling language to display:Note that not all languages for each video are complete. It shows the percentage that is complete next to each language in the dropdown. Then, if you know a certain language, you can contribute by adding subtitles to a portion of the video... These include filtering content, new textual and visual literacies, managing multiple digital identities, representing self in cyberspace and engaging in new modes of interaction.
