Use Diigo To Help Write Your Next College Essay or Term Paper - 1 views

  •
We have already covered why Diigo, a web bookmarking and annotation service, is a powerful tool for managing bookmarks, but why stop there?  Diigo can be a very useful tool for helping you to write a college essay or research paper. Since the Internet is a tool that most students use to do research, and since most research papers are based on quotes used from various sources, Diigo provides a way to not only bookmark your sources, but also to manage and access your quotes, notes, and analysis.

Learning with 'e's: Search results for identity - 0 views

  • The Social Web is transforming the way students interact with others, and is challenging traditional pedagogies, values and practices. An analysis of students’ uses of social networking tools (e.g. Facebook, Myspace) and video/photo sharing sites (e.g. YouTube, Flickr) reveals the emergence of collective digital literacies. These include filtering content, new textual and visual literacies, managing multiple digital identities, representing self in cyberspace and engaging in new modes of interaction.

  •
"The paper argues that although social networking media increase the potential range and scope for emergent learning exponentially, considerable effort is required to ensure an effective balance between openness and constraint.  It is possible to manage the relationship between prescriptive and emergent learning, both of which need to be part of an integrated learning ecology."

Easy iPad Management for Education- At Scale! | Bright ideas - 0 views

  •
"iPad deployment includes all of the steps between buying an iPad and beginning to use the device. For an individual's personal iPad, this is often a very fast and easy process lasting no longer than five minutes: You just open the box, turn it on, download the apps you want on your device, and go. But for a school, or district, with potentially hundreds of iPads-each one requiring a specialized list of apps that need to be purchased before protecting the devices with a case and sending them out to classrooms. As an administrator or teacher, there are a few things you will need to know before you deploy your iPads. Lucky for you, the eSpark Engineering team has created a five step road map to aid in this journey, highlighting the best practices and considerations relevant to deploying and supporting iPads in education environments."
