I found this Prezi presentation that touches on the effective tactics one could use to create an effective multimedia presentation.

As I was searching around website-making websites, I came across this section of Weebly that gave articles that could help create effective websites, and how a blog can be useful.

I found this really interesting article from the Washington Post that takes the recent issue of the "thigh gap" with female teenagers these days and what it could mean for their future. I'll definitely be using this as a source for my paper on the pro-anorexia subculture, and since it's a relevant topic in social media these days, you should take a look too!

I thought this list of research tips from U.S. News is although very short, it's also very effective in describing key things to focus on during research. I especially though that #2 was a great way to look at your sources when doing the actual writing part of the paper.

I found this book titled "Joplin Pays it Forward" written as a collection of stories people of Joplin, MI shared to talk about their experiences with the tornado damage. I could see that the tornado took place in May of 2011 and the book was published in 2014. This, like mentioned in class, shows the length of time it took in the information cycle to get this out and about.

Nice video! I thought the way it was presented was geared towards an educated audience that has a job or profession. It mentions job position persuasion, restaurant waiter persuasion, doctor appointment tactics, and lots of other studies that could relate to someone who's likely married with a family.

I came across this wonderful video on Facebook that shows different women set up to come to this interactive mirror in a mall. Although it's a little on the longer side, it's very much worth watching. I think the entirety of the video appeals to pathos because of the emotions the women feel and how the interactive mirror makes them think and feel. In this sense, the audience is primarily the women actually set up to go to this mirror, while the secondary audience is women everywhere having self confidence issues or other issues related to body image that block them from feeling enough. Take the time to watch!!

This was a really cool ad! I could definitely see the appeals to pathos with the adjectives to each gender; the comparison was really interesting. I think visually, the fact that there was only music in the background and sort of a faded color scheme showed how the visual rhetoric really brought out the purpose, and how we should be focusing on the people in the commercial and how they're perceived.

I think many of us have seen this commercial about the Activia Challenge that's purpose is to get more people to eat Activia yogurt for a certain amount of time in a week to better digestive health. I think this commercial uses the pathos appeal when Laila Ali talks about not feeling good about her body image, trying to relate to the audience of a lot of middle-aged women in the U.S. today. I also find that by using the balloon as a demonstration of feeling bloated was a good example of visual rhetoric.

Although this article from the New York Times is a little on the longer side, I found it very interesting to read. Being interested in the teaching profession myself, I saw this contingent issue of women-dominated teachers as an informative read. I also believe that the way the rhetor wrote it could also be considered response-making.

Apparently I was Teacher's Pet... Not entirely sure how the responses I put in pointed in that direction.

This video shows the different "tribes" Mexico City has during this festival they have every year and how the teenage population is important there. Goths, freaks, and geeks all attend! Kind of cool to look at!
