Once upon a time, Shervin was viewing one of his friend's home timeline, and he discovered a lot of interesting tweets/people that he'd never seen in his own Twitter. So he thought: why shouldn't we allow people to view each other's timeline? It's a great opportunity for extended information discovery and consumption! My view of GWT is changing. When I wrote 5 GWT Anti-Patterns I saw it as the framework controlling my entire application. Now it's my glue. GWT is a wonderful foundation holding together the different parts of your application. It can grow and expand to new technologies and uses we haven't thought of yet, but it can also hold us back. You can get stuck in GWT and never find your way out. Each of these four anti-patterns addresses different ways to write code you wish you hadn't. The solutions are all about opening doors instead of closing them.

Right now you are a bundle of information in mind and body. You have unique memories; your cells have undergone chemical changes shared by no one else in the world. When you die, none of this information will vanish, because it can't. There is nowhere for plus and minus, positive and negative to go since the field contains nothing but information. Therefore their only alternative is to recombine. There is growing evidence that in fact we do share the same mind field. The brain belongs to "me," but if ideas belong to "us," then we are participating together in a field, sometimes quite mysteriously.

"mine field"!? Hmmmm could be a mine field. If the mind field had a Profile Web Page it could give you a choice: [ ] Public (all your thoughts will be shared across the mind field). [ ] Private (your thoughts will not be shared. Of course, then their are the hackers! Arghhhhhh!

It's an addictive little habit, that Twitter. But what if there were ways for you to still keep your ugly tweeting habit while staying productive at the same time? Since I can't fully support the total indulgence in the tool that has the tech-world (and beyond) glued to their favorite Twitter client, I thought I would share a few very useful ways to make the service much more productive while you're living inside of it.

I have been facing the problem of which online bookmarking service to use for quite some time now. This is due to the fact that I have the StumbleUpon and Google toolbars installed on Firefox, and also have accounts on deli.cio.us, blinklist and digg (and possibly some others which I can't remember right now :-). This is an extremely cool and useful web application, and if it hasn't been thought of before, I'm absolutely shocked, because it makes so much sense. Essentially, PHPanywhere is a web based free Integrated Development Environment or IDE for the PHP language. In other words it is a web based application that provides PHP developers a PHP code editor that mocks a desktop application, and it does so very well.

If you are keeping up with Facebook's evolution, you would notice its keen adoption of features from other social media sites. With that, Facebook has nothing to be ashamed of (not that they are). In fact, Facebook is the leader of social media partly because of its willingness to embrace ideas that are not of its own. So what's next, Facebook? Could it be one or more of the 5 possible features that we thought of?

Tim O'Reilly, co-founder of the Web 2.0 Conference, gave a short address on the 5th anniversary of that event at tonight's Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco and offered some thoughts on what's going to come next. He discussed five applications that he believes point the way. Two themes stood out: sensors will surpass humans in front of their keyboards as the primary data source on the web and Moore's Law will need to be applied to humanity's greatest problems.
