    An interesting article on brainstorming. READ WITH A GRAIN OF SALT because it is an opinion piece. Brainstorming DOES work - I have personal experience with it doing so when I worked with a multiple CLIO winning advertising team. The way that the New Yorker writer defines brainstorming is very limited; but the article does have some insight into the creative process using measurable results.

  • Another issue with AJAX is how the application interface is updated. When updates to the interface occur, it may not be visually apparent that a change has occurred. The problem is even more troublesome for screen reader users. Screen readers typically read in a linear fashion. When changes happen in the interface, the screen reader user may not be aware of the change and the new content will likely not be read.
  • In short, to allow dynamic interface changes to be accessible, the application must alert the user that a change has occurred, allow direct access to the new content, and then allow continued functionality of the web application. This process, while difficult to achieve, especially for screen reader users, is possible to achieve in many AJAX applications.

    I like the "Evaluating the results" section. Good ideas for involving more people in the evaluation process and making the prioritized list of improvements.

    I came to this site via a Tweet about the "Evaluating digital services" infoKit which is pretty interesting. So are the others! "Our infoKits contain a wealth of 'self-help' material, from simple methodologies to manage projects, risks, change and processes; to image galleries of technology-rich spaces and reflections from leaders to learners showcasing the inspiring use of technology across the sectors."
