This article discusses the connection between intelligence and artistic ability. It is essentially an overview of psychological studies investigating the same topic. The study involved various IQ tests and analysis of artistic ability. The studies were conducted at several schools of varying age groups. Bottorf examines the results and how they prove and disprove that the two areas are related.

this article deals with the problems of communication between the Pharmacy and the consumer. It gets into the responsiblilty of the pharmacists to make sure that what is put on the labels to medication, is understandable to the common man.

This article is a study on the difference between kids with ADHD, kids with working memory difficulties and "normal" kids without ADHD or memory difficulties and their academic attainment ability. The children tested were between about eight and ten years old. They were given standardized tests to grade their literacy and numeracy. As expected, the children with ADHD and working memory difficulties had worse scores than the "normal" children. However, the results from the test allow teachers to recognize the students at risk and get them help.

American Medical Association. "Harmful Consequences of Alcohol Use on the Brains of Children, Adolescents, and College Students." American Medical Association. Web. 3 Nov. 2010. This article by the American Medical Association talks about how television exposure has harmful effects on children and adolescents, when it comes to underage drinking. The exposure of young children, adolescents, and college students to television that had alcohol in it increases the chances of underage drinking. The damaging effects on the brains of alcohol on this age groups brains can be permanent. Television ads make drinking alcohol seem like the normal thing to do so they think its okay to do. These alcohol companies have mascots, other characters, and even slogans geared toward people who are underage.

This article talks about how physical activity and playing sports result in improves mental and social health including reduced risk of suicide and depression. It examines how gender and athletic involvement in a team sport were associated with lower depression scores, and athletic identity was associated with lower risk of a suicide attempt.

This article is primarily about finding confidence in writing and reading through music. It goes on to say that children are naturally wired to sounds and rhythms so at a young age it can be used to establish rhyming patterns in areas of reading and writing. Music can be a way to remember stories and learn more about the world. Repetition of songs enhances emergent literacy. The article also says music and print language are similar.

This article discuses the importance of having a financial background. There is a lot of discussion about having mandatory class at the high school level, which will help students with their finances. It will also help students become more aware of what it involved in creating a budget. There is a lot of discussion on how personal finance should be taught.

Also, information on what university are doing to improve the health knowledge of their students is given.

This article compares the rapid and aggressive development of pulmonary vascular disease of children with down syndrom with non DS patients. To do this they compared the role of plasma endothelin-1 (ET-1) and nitrate levels with complete AVSD-associated pulmonary hypertension (PH). The study included 20 patients, a mixture of boys girls, DS patients and non DS patients. They found that there was no significant difference betweent the two.

It compares reasearch on these two areas in boys with Down Syndrome and boys with autism spectrum disorder, and then boys with both. They test each of these things at differnt age levels. This article shares the results of the study with different tables and text.

This article discusses how the literature taught to students in high school increases their resistence to reading, creating an increasingly aliterate society. The author writes in an appealing conversational tone, which suits the subject matter. He includes thorough, detailed examples and a list of recommended reading.
