It starts with an introduction about why we need to help the elderly, and how much of a blessing a computer would be for some elderly people. After this introduction it moves into the steps of how to slowly integrate the senior citizen to their knew computer. It is a five step process that will improve a senior citizens life, and make them fluent with their computer.

This article talks about the issues that go along with the elderly trying to use computers. This article talks about how we should help the elderly learn how to use computers, and instruct them on the wonders of technology. This is more of a pro-help article, where some of the other articles are just condeming the fact that the senior citizens have trouble with computers, and they offer no way to help this issue. Overall this is a positive article which offers insight to the issue of senior citizens and their troubles with computers.

Because of the growth of cultures throughout the world, citizenship education needs to be changed in order to educate students how to function in today's interdependent society and global culture. Student's need the knowledge, attitudes and skills required to function in their cultural communities.

This website has many studied and information involving the computer use of the elderly and thier opinions of computers in comparisoin with other age classes. It has a study that says that the outlooks of computers from the perspective of the elderly aren't very different at all from the perspective of a young adult. It shines a new light on the age old thought that senior citizens do not like computers, they may just not know how to use them.

The screen of the computer is where the six buttons are located, and this computer is designed for the elderly person to be able to search the web with ease. The new computer is called a "simplicITy."

This article talks about how the new technologies with broadband make computer usage easier for the everyday senior citizen. It talks about how our everyday knew technology can be applied in ways we have never thought of before. New software are faster and better, and give more capabilities than ever before. These capabilities can be more easily taught to the elderly and make the computers a heck of a lot easier to use for them.

The idea of media literacy prompts an increasingly divisive debate between educators who wish to protect children from the commercialization of global markets and those who challenge critical media studies as misguided, outdated, and ineffective. We have provided a historical overview of changing conceptions of media literacy as preparation and protection in market society, arguing that contemporary concerns about children's fast food marketing and sedentary lifestyles call for new approaches to the education of citizen-consumers in a risk society. Our case study demonstrates that a media education programme can provide scaffolding for children's critical thinking about their sedentary lifestyles and media consumption. Media is a means of persuasion. When used by a strict government it can be a way of persuading citizens to do or not do something. Through stereotypes the mass media can be used to change public sentiment towards whatever the producers of this media would like. This can be helpful or hurtful to a nation. Through the discussion of this topic it shows the reader examples of this. Specifically it talks about the Middle East and the Israeli conflict.

This article focuses on the United States and the need to incorporate global education within a student's education. With domestic diversity within America and the constant flow of immigrants, gaining more insight about other cultures and ways of life is beneficial and essential when interacting with people from different backgrounds. Unfamiliar groups, cultures and languages can produce anxiety and hostility from those who don't understand or are ignorant to other cultures. This article offers several suggestions for teacher to go about incorporating global education into many different subjects.

This article talks specifically about the differences in what media literacy means. Media literacy can mean seeing an image and realizing what it is telling you. But it can also mean seeing an image and realizing why it is there and that is the type that most people are illiterate in.
