It wasn't until after I registered that it hit me, I have these kits in my library! Teachers come in and drool over them because they're complete and most of the time, the kits the teachers have in their classrooms are completely empty. Teachers register for free and share their username and password with their students. This is the middle school module, they also have modules for K-2, and 3-6.

this website is cool. elementary or secondary will enjoy educational games. I only tried a typing game under Language Arts. There's something for all teachers here (Math, Social Studies, Science, etc...).

a teacher can definitely use this webpage. It has a printable from the story "Charlotte's Web" and other resources. It has reading, math, and science.

this website has simple, but fun games. Also, it has resources for teachers and you can save them to your Diigo account and print them out later(puzzles, word finds, charts, etc....).

Secondary Science teachers can use this webpage along with their lessons about DNA, the immune system, cells, etc.... I like the characters and the graphics they show.

I came across these "old-fashioned" learning riddles/games that are still very valuable in developing various higher-order thinking skills. To bring them into the 21st century, the teacher could use Twitter to tweet a different problem each day, and students could provide their answers via Twitter and also compare other their responses with those of their classmates. The same idea could be applied to Facebook, foursquare, or the other social networking sites that students use.
