My firefox Diigo toolbar will not display any items to the left of the Highlight button. The missing items are the Open Sidebar, Diigo and Bookmarks buttons. I have tried unticking and reticking the show toolbar menu item, but they remain missing. I have the latest versions the toolbar (3.1.6.13) and Firefox installed. This problem has persisted over the last three toolbar upgrades. Nothing I do will make it display properly

Right click the Highlight button in the Diigo Toolbar. You should see a drop down menu that shows all of the available toolbars and a command at the very bottom called "Customize...". Choose customize.

You should get a dialogue box called "Customize Toolbar" with all of the available buttons for each of your toolbars. Locate the Diigo related buttons and click/drag them onto the Diigo Toolbar in the appropriate location. These buttons should be persistent and once you click done it should stay that way.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Scott Allam, your advice has done the trick. I wonder what caused the buttons to disappear? No matter I have them back now, and I will know what to do if they disappear again. Thanks for your help.

My pleasure!! I have come to depend on my Diigo tools, so I would hate to be without them.

This bug has hit me a few times.

Trouble is, the customisation dialogue lacks the button for Diigo sidebar so no matter what I try I'm left with a mess ...

    Thanks ImageShack!

I have tried disabling, enabling, uninstalling, reinstalling various add-ons.

Once or twice in the past I found (and posted) some other workaround, tagged the topic thoughtfully, but at the moment I can't relocate the topic :( ah well never mind

Found that other topic, it was half-useful, this topic is probably closed again :)
