I have been using Diigo for a few months now and have imported my bookmarks from various sources. I currently have over 6400 bookmarks with over 3600 associated tags. The tags are where my problems arises.

First problem. Any time I open My Diigo page or any tag page for that matter, I have to wait anywhere from 15 to 20 seconds before I can do anything because the tags are loading in the My Tags sidebar and the page/browser freezes until that completes. This make using the site very slow, unpleasant and time consuming.

Second problem. If I want to edit my tags and click to the edit page, it takes forever for all 3637 tags to load as they are all presented on one page. Managing/editing my tags is an excruciatingly slow chore. I am working on narrowing the tag list and have eliminated over 300 so far. Again, very slow, unpleasant and time consuming

Here's my question. Is there an option to shut off/not display the My Tags sidebar?

    Here's my suggestion(s)/feature request(s).

First, if there is not currently an option to not display the My Tags sidebar, would that be something that could be made an option?

Second, would it be possible to break up the presentation of the tags on the Tag Edit page so that there were a separate page display for the "A" tags, the "B" tags, the "C" tags, etc., thereby reducing the number of tags being displayed at one time and reducing the page load time?

I love the site overall. The current feature offering is fantastic. I'm hoping that one or both of these suggestions might be able to be implemented as it would make my time spent at the site much more productive.

    Thanks,

    Fred

The tag loading speed will be improved in V3. If you still experience the same problem after V3, we will consider an option to hide the tag cloud.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

    When will V3 be released?
