Anyone know why daily group alerts would stop appearing in my inbox.I've upgraded to Firefox 4, don't know if that could be the issue.
    I miss my daily emails.

Can you please tell us the name of the group in question?
  • Lisette Casey

    All of my groups.
I have added Diigo to my address book, tried changing the alert settings, and checked my spam.
I was receiving daily emails from this group but now I receive nothing.
I tried changing the setting to immediate, it works in one group but not in others.
    Suggestions?

    My groups are:

    Ed Tech Talk
    educators
    Science Teachers
    AT in SPED
iPad, iPhone, and iTouch Users Group
    Google in Education
    and many more

We have replaced diigo groups with the specific group name in the sender place.
It may be not easy to recognize like before. Please check it again.

    Hi Sandy,

I have had sporadic, at best, notifications for group e-mail alerts. In fact, the only e-mail alerts from this group that I've received in the past month have all been someone saving some link with annotations attached to it. That's it. This has been ongoing since the middle to late March 2011. Currently, my settings for the group are set to Immediate notification. Is there anything else I need to do?

    Thanks!

    Shibela

    Sandy,
I am still struggling with not receiving Diigo email alerts to the groups I am involved in.
    Help, I miss my alerts.

Having checked in our database, all emails are sent successfully.
Please make certain that the e-mail service is not filtering this e-mail from diigo to spam or junk mail. Add webmaster@diigo.com to the e-mail contact list or contact your e-mail service for more information on ensuring these emails from diigo is able to be received.

The database may be saying that, but the e-mails for group alerts are getting lost somewhere between Diigo & the recipient's mailbox that is not the spam / junk mail filter, as I have been lucky to receive only 1 of apparently 22 group alerts this month alone. The only one I received was an alert for this thread, which I have subscribed to.... and as far as I can see, I should be getting group alerts e-mailed from this group immediately -- see my earlier reply above.

@Shibela Where do you see that you have 22 group alerts?
  • Shibela .

    Sandy,
My apologies for the late reply -- I never received notification that this thread had been updated despite the subscription. :\ In fact, I only came to the group because I just received my first notification since your reply to Lisette above, and it was an annotated link (Titled: "Republique populaire Chine, Constitution chinoise, 1982, MJP, université de P... " & Link: http://groups.diigo.com/site/redirect_item/republique-populaire-chine-constitution-chinoise-1982-mjp-universit-de-perpignanconstitution-de-la-republique-de-bulgarie-constitution-3605429).

That said, I was counting all new threads in this group alone by thread creation date -- and I obviously (or apparently) miscounted, because I'm only seeing 14 new threads for the month; however, that is not including all annotated links that get posted to the group & subsequently deleted, which also send out group notifications upon being posted to the group (or at least, I have been getting notifications for those type of postings in the past as noted in the paragraph above).

I have not received any new thread notifications from this group in November, and I see 4 new threads right now -- this does not include the annotated link that brought me to check out this group.

New Threads I see on the group but never received notification about:

Posted Nov. 1st -- "Adding a quick access filter isn't working?" (Link: http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/adding-a-quick-access-filter-isn-t-working-3573882)

Posted Nov. 4th -- "Educator features" (Link: http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/educator-features-3596262)

Posted Nov. 5th -- "Diigo toolbar not working properly" (Link: http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/diigo-toolbar-not-working-properly-3597502)

Posted Nov. 5th -- "Can someone explain what "Cache" does??" (Link: http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/can-someone-explain-what-cache-does-3599385)

There is obviously something going on, but I have no idea how to fix it since I am subscribed to be notified immediately upon anything new being posted to the group, and I have "webmaster@diigo.com" in my contact list in my e-mail, so all e-mails from Diigo (or that address, anyway) should be received without problem. In fact, I've never had anything from Diigo be delivered to my Spam folder. And so my confusion....
