    Hi

I need your urgent help. I just discovered a private email address is exposed in Diigo after exporting from Delicious:

    http://www.diigo.com/tag/for:someone@gmail.com

This tag is not deletable by me and the tag no longer exists ( http://www.diigo.com/cloud/mcored?sort=3 ) in my Diigo tags but it is still publicly displayed.

    Thanks in advance
    Mike

Have you ever used that tag? Don't worry. I am looking into this issue.

In Delicious, for a long time, users shared links with "for:username" or "for:someone@gmail.com" tags and they were not shown in the usual tags. Yes I did use that tag as "for:someone@gmail.com" while I was with Delicious and it never showed up as a tag and it was never publicly accessible either so it was no problem.

However; when I exported the bookmarks to Diigo, it seems that this tag is publicly exposed and I have no access to delete it, simply because that tag is not displayed under my tags: http://www.diigo.com/cloud/mcored?sort=3

I can personally message you the exact URL with the private email address if you want :)

Please help me as my work email is still exposed. This needs to be deleted ASAP. I don't want my work email to come up under random websites that someone else has tagged for me. Especially when the content is not appropriate.

@mcored hondajazz There is no email address in your tag cloud. Please check it.

    @sandy_diigo

It *is* of course still there there.

I never tagged this as an email address to publicly expose email address like that.

I am very sure it is to do with Delicious Import feature in Diigo. In Delicious you can send links to email addresses but they never show up publicly. After I exported Delicious links to Diigo, Diigo has treated it as a tag! That's the best explanation I can come up with.

I figured it out. You have deleted these tags after global tags are indexed. We will deal with it ASAP.

The issue is not about the tag cloud the issue is that the email address comes up for tags made under my name. I am sick of this issue and now my email is exposed here. I already sent a full explanation using the "contact us" feature linking it to this this post but I have not gotten a response yet. When you search my email in google search it comes up tags for ".....@gmail.com" but with my email address in FULL. Therefore, MCORED made tags under my name and now the associated websites come up with my email address exposed!!! You need to find a way to delete my email coming up with mcored's tags using my FULL email address!

    Thanks for getting back sandy_diigo

http://m.diigo.com/tag/for%3Ahonda.jazz shows up email addresses too, I hope you will deal with this as part of looking into the global tags.

Hopefully next time I look at http://m.diigo.com/tag/for%3Ahonda.jazz there should not be any email addresses displayed, as I have deleted them like you said a while back!!!

What do you mean too? The issue is about my email that is exposed that you tagged mcored

We have deleted these tags in our global tag list. Please check it.
@hondajazz The diigo page redirected via google doesn't exist there any longer. Google will delete this page some time later, since it is invalid..

I can see the issue is finally resolved. Thanks for your help @sandy_diigo.
