Exceptionally: I'll plead for others to refrain from adding, at least until after I have finished collecting.
The intention is for this topic to remain a clean, clear, CONCISE point of reference. One that might form the basis of a future FAQ entry within Diigo help.
Please do discuss, but discuss under the topics to which you are referred.

Afterthought: the subject here (Diigo bookmarks and annotations are URL-specific) is often _incidental_ to, or only one of _many_ subjects within referenced topics.
So … don't rush to extend topics that are old or mixed ;)
Instead, if you have an interest in this subject:
1. read the highlights and contexts carefully (don't expect to understand the whole caboodle; I don't!)
2. envisage a big picture
3. if appropriate, add a new topic to the Diigo Community forum.
(I will have at least one topic to add (keyword: DNS), but there's no rush. The addition may not occur for a few weeks.)

Diigo approach to CNAME type DNS records: a thought for the distant future

My busiest period (of trawling the forum, collecting references) has finished, so I end my plea.
Now, I'm treating this topic as a free-for-all :)
The intention is unchanged:
