Sorry, can't highlight fewer than five characters? Do you realize how useless this makes highlighting for studying Chinese, of which words are often made up of fewer than five characters? Fix that and I might come back to it.

    Hi, Genghiskhan.

I agree with you. This problem is not only Chinese but also Japanese... I sometime make a highlight more than I need.

Highlighting a character could bring many other problems, such as all occurrences of the character will be highlighted.

BTW, maybe it's a good idea to study other languages though sentences.

Why on earth would all the occurrences of that character be highlighted? When I highlight a word, not all occurrences of that word are highlighted--why would a character be any different?

BTW, there was no need to be rude. And when you are learning a language, generally the meaning of words is what you are interested in--not learning wrote sentences for certain situations.

Finally, I second the suggestion to change the character limits on highlighting. I, too, have problems with the character limits on clippings--though mine are generally that I can't go over a certain limit, rather that under.
