    1. without signing in to Diigo, view an annotated iink in Epiphany on Ubuntu.

    Bug

    Toolbar drops too low.

Comment window can be neither closed nor moved.

Bug bites at 1024 pixels. A messy introduction to Diigo is undesirable so I tag this: priority.

    Thanks ImageShack!

    Workaround

    * Hide the toolbar to reveal the close box of the comment window

    or

    * click the Comment button

    However:

    * newcomers can not guess that there is a hidden close box

    * newcomers may not guess that hiding the toolbar will improve the comment window

    * Comment button does not change colour/shade when it is active; no hint that it is a toggle.

Internet Explorer can not be tested. Separate priority bug

The likelihood is: when the viewer can neither move nor close the comment window, they will aim for the hide icons (chevrons) within that window.

After clicking both hide icons within the window, the comment window remains:

    Thanks ImageShack!

    - after which only a visit to the far side of the window (if the newcomer has not lost patience) will find the third hide icon

    - but as the other two hide icons did not completely hide the window, so there's no expectation that this third hide icon will truly hide the toolbar.

Generally, jumbled. First impressions should be better than this ;)

Public (anonymous, signed out) views of annotated links are greatly improved.

In the past, a display with 1,024 pixels' width was too narrow for Diigolet.

Now, Diigolet 4.0b2 requires far less width.

http://www.wuala.com/grahamperrin/Documents/diigo-public/956336 screen shots 001-005 show the public perception. The slight widening of the window between shots 004 and 005 suggests that for a user name such as
    grahamperrin
the required width is around 845 pixels.

    Nice work, Diigo team. Thanks!
