  Suggestion
  
  1. select text, typically one or a few words
  
  2. menu option: Add tag to bookmark.
  
  In other words: the menu, which currently comprises two options:
  Highlight
  Highlight and sticky note
  
  should comprise three options:
  Add tag to bookmark
  Highlight
  Highlight and sticky note
  
  Environments
  
  I currently use Diigolet 3.1b538 served by Diigo.
  
  Variations
  
  I assume that a comparable suggestion may apply to locally-installed versions of Diigo.

  Considerations
  
  1. Population of the Save bookmark dialogue, with tags applied immediately before presentation of the dialogue
  
  - without requiring a reload of the page and reload of Diigolet
  
  2. Limit to the number of tags and/or characters that should be entered in a tags field
  
  - an undeclared limit of maybe twenty (20) tags may become apparent if the bookmark is subsequently edited in a different Diigo UI.
