Because Google Sidewiki has a voting system of useful comments which prevents you from seeing all the spam, but there still are some issues with it like: 1. what if a good comment has just been posted but it takes a lot of time to gain popularity? 2. I have seen unexpected classification situations (for example on Facebook) where comments voted very useful were up topped by less popular ideas, so I wonder, what are the secondary criteria. Never the less, there still some sort of a classification and you will read important stuff primarily.
