  • The ocean is salty for several reasons, one of which is the groundwater from rain which trickles down into the ocean and picks up salt from the earth along its way! But this same water trickles down into lakes… so why aren't lakes salty?
  • The reason lake water usually isn't salty (or at least it's less salty than ocean water) is because the salty groundwater not only runs into the lakes, but also back out of it!       one of the reasons why lakes are not salty is because the salty groundwater it not usually runs in rivers and lake, if not also comes back out of it. But the  Vast ocean already cover most of the earth materials. Most lakes have outlet which water leaves. The salty water can get out of the oceans

  • I looked through the NO side. While I was doing so, I saw many errors. Most of the NO side complain that they have sports to do first, did it not occur to you that studies come first? If you fail school, the coach will (most likely) not let you play in that tournament/ game/ meet. As for the grammar errors on the NO side, I believe that many could use some Language Arts homework.

      People don'y do homework cause their lazy and say they have a lot of homework has it ever come to mind that studies com first than sports.

If we don't prepare them in middle school and elementary school they will be more overloaded in high school and college because they didn't expect it. Long Live Homework! Plus, if we don't have homework, kids will go home and forget everything they learned.

  • .Also if you manage your time correctly you would still have a good 4-5 hours of free time before you sleep.Homework prevents last minute studying and can often give you better marks in school

  • Science first became interested in the link between sugar and hyperactivity when the Feingold Diet became popular in 1973. Devised by allergist Dr. Benjamin Feingold, it advocated the removal of food additives, such as dyes and artificial flavors, from children’s diets because they might lead to hyperactivity. Although this special diet did not originally mention sugar, sugar became grouped under the category of food additives due to the common belief that it affected behavior.

A possible explanation for this effect is that since sugar is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream, blood sugar rises quickly, which can lead to higher adrenaline levels and thus symptoms similar to those associated with hyperactivity. Furthermore, children with ADHD also tend to have higher levels of insulin.

      Dr Wesnes found that if a kid has a huge pile of sugar for breakfast it can cause them to not pay attention at anything. But if you have a whole grain breakfast you can be more concentrate more. Also Dr Tamborlane says that kids that eat alot of sugar have "higher levels of adrenaline. Another way to say this is that if you eat a lot of sugar all the sugar is absorbed to the "bloodstream" and blood sugar goes up quickly, that"s why kids can have higher levels of "adrenaline."

  • Eye color is the result of variations in the amount of melanin, a pigment found in the front part of the iris of the eye.  The lack of this pigment results in blue eyes, some pigment gives green and lots of pigment gives brown eyes.   So light brown eyes just have a bit less melanin than darker brown eyes.  All of the different shades of eye color happen the same way.  Blue-green eyes have an amount of melanin between green and blue, hazel eyes have an amount of pigment between green and brown, etc.
