1.FeliCaなどの電子マネーに対応していない　私の住んでいる田舎では電子マネーを利用している姿なんて滅多に目にしないが、どうやら都会では頻繁に利用されているようだ。iPhoneにはこの機能がない。携帯電話であれもこれも済ませている人にとってiPhoneは魅力的ではない。 2.ワンセグがない　最近は携帯電話でテレビを見ることが流行っているようだ。そんなにテレビが大事ならテレビを持ち歩けよと突っ込みたくなるが、そうもいかないらしい。ワンセグがない。これもiPhoneが売れない理由の1つだ。 3.プランに強制加入というのが気に入らない　iPhoneを利用するためには、ソフトバンク基本プランの他に、パケット定額フル(5,985円)＋S!ベーシックパック(i)(315円)に加入しなければいけない。最低月額利用料は7,280円。パケットをいつもフルに使う私にとってこの金額は安いのだが、世間から見ると高いらしい。とくにWi-FiのみでiPhoneを利用しようとしていた人にとっては絶望的なのだそうだ。最低7,280円という利用料は高い。

4.カメラが使えない　iPhoneにはカメラがついている。しかし、このカメラはオマケのために存在しているようなものだ。手ぶれ補正なんて豪華な機能はないし、画素数はたったの2メガピクセルである。画素数が多ければ画質の良い写真が撮れるというわけではないが、2メガピクセルは悲しい。 5.本体が高い　$199という言葉に惑わされた人が多いが、実際の本体の価格は8GBが69,120円、16GBが80,640円である。2年間ソフトバンクのiPhoneを利用するという契約をすることで、これが23,040円と34,560円になる。つまり2年間で合計174,720円＋端末代を支払うという約束をする代わりに、46,080円を値引いて貰っているというわけだ。安く見える本体価格は実質価格という幻なわけだ。 6.キャリアがソフトバンクモバイルである　社長が禿社長だから嫌！というわけではない。ソフトバンクモバイルはJ-PHONE、ボーダフォンとずっと最下位を走っていた。そのため、通信設備がDoCoMoやauに比べて乏しい。電波の届かない地域なども存在する。使えない携帯電話に用はない。

7.通信がもたなさそう　上記の設備の話になるが、iPhoneでパケット定額フルを利用する人が多くなると、ソフトバンクモバイルの通信設備がパンクしそうである。通信の遅さにイライラさせられる携帯電話を2年間持ち続けるのは嫌だ。 8.Appleの初物は危険　Appleの製品、じつは初期ロットには不具合が発生することが多い。そのリスクが怖いので、今は購入しない。また、1年ごとに小さなモデルチェンジというサイクルもあるので、少なくとも現時点で買う必要はない。 9.バッテリーが取り外せない上にサポートがダメ　iPhoneのバッテリーは内蔵されており、自分で交換することができない。では店ですぐに交換して貰えるかと言うと、Appleの保障対象外バッテリーの交換は1週間はかかる。1週間自分のiPhoneが使えないのは痛い。　初期ロットのiPhoneを購入する人は分かって購入する人がほとんどだと思う。もしもAppleだから、オシャレだからなんて理由で買うと痛い目にあうぞ。友人がiPhoneを購入すると言っていたら、この9つの理由について納得しているのかどうかを訪ねて欲しい。新スーパーボーナス途中解約は痛い目を見ることになるぞ。
