This site provides a huge database to access art.  It can be searched by artist, specific topics, or curriculum based.  It also has many different lesson plans to accompany the art.

This is designed for emergent readers to research animals. Students can visually search topics. Text is fully narrated. Worksheets avalible for student to share the interesting fact that they have learned.

Eyewitness:American Originals form the National Archives provides first-hand and personal testimonies of select historical events as told from the point-of-view of presidents: Jefferson, Washington, Truman, JFK, Bush Sr., John Adams, Carter, Eisenhower-as well as other influential individuals. This would be great for time period specific research projects. Easy to read and compact digital arrangements make this user friendly for young students, teens, and educators.

Online access to Federal Government documents.   Picture of the documents and a description.  Great for teaching early American history or learning about government.

This is the Lincoln Library website. They have a collection of primary source material that ranges from text to photographs and covers a wide variety of topics from Native American History to Civil War and slavery. It would be great to use to introduce students to Abraham Lincoln.

Older students would greatly benefit from this lesson plan for learning about primary sources.  Everything is laid out perfectly with links included to help illustrate the subject of primary sources.  Assessment is included with a rubric.

This is LIFE magazine's photo archive. I love this site because it has everything. Yu can photos for recent history as well as anything from the past. It has a great search option. I use this to set up picture walks when I am teaching anything that my students may not have background knowledge for.

Federal Resources for Educational Excellence or FREE, is a U.S. Department of Education website that complies free teacher resources from dozens of federal agencies.  Subjects range from: arts and music, history and social studies, health, language arts, math, and science. 

This is a God-send for science and social studies classes. The visualizations and animations are very clear and easily navigable for both students and teachers. This movement supports comprehension of complex topics. Among other things, they illustrate Earth's movement from space, multiple representatives of a single place and models of molecules. 

This source provides documents and data on geography, astronomy, and science related subjects. It has a wide range of written and visual information for students. A great resource for 8th grade earth science.

Find links to Amazing Space's latest features, the most recent Hubble pictures, and news for educators. It has a monthly star gazing guide and homework help. It is a great site for both teachers and students.

This site explains what is energy, energy forms, using and saving energy, the history of energy. It has curriculum based lesson plans for K-12 science that cover potential and kinetic energy - heat, light, motion and sound.

This site has games, activities and other fun stuff for elementary students about space and the solar system.

This is a great resource for teachers from the Federal Government. There are topics in every field from arts and music to U.S. time periods. There are animations, photos, primary documents, and videos. Students could take a tour of a cell in animation, make comparisons using photos, read letters and journals of famous Americans, and watch videos about lava. There are lots of resources available for free.

I love these links and activities. I initially went to this site because it seemed promising for science and math activities. There are a variety of subjects covered here to include the initial two mentioned and foreign languages. There are also primary source activites here, a real tresure chest. Not only can I use some of these with my high school foreign language students, but also find things to keep my grandkids entertained when babysitting.

Excellent source for American historical research. Original documents available by subject or by era. Could possibly be used for the rendevous project.

This site discusses what climate change is and what can be done to help it. Current news and data streams about global warming and climate change from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Student friendly site with lots of resources for teachers.

This primary source is filled with upper elementary to secondary education material. It contains teacher education, videos, an outline of subjects covered and real time information. It is easy to spend a lot of time viewing all the informtion available on C-Span Classroom.
