This article discusses the integration of coding classes in schools, and how some lawmakers want to take it a step further and allow coding to be a substitute for foreign language requirements. Coding is the upcoming language of the 21st century, and will be useful in the future because it can lead to very lucrative jobs. Simultaneously, the value of foreign language acquisition seems to be decreasing, especially when kids are only learning it for 2-4 years in high school. Educators, on the other hand, disagree with this proposition because they believe that exposure to foreign language opens the door to a greater appreciation of culture and a wider breadth of knowledge for more well-rounded students.

This article talks about the theory from John Gray's book, Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, that men and women fundamentally differ in the way in which they use language to communicate. It not only addresses innate reasons why this may be, but also learned cues that men and women have deemed acceptable ways to communicate with the world around them based on their gender.
