This is a collection of useful web 2.0 and social media applications for anyone in education. I have tried them all and I have seen the potential in them. Now it is up to you and your imagination to use them in your teaching or when studying! GREAT information and GREAT visual....

A couple of years ago I was asked to participate in a brainstorming conference call with some folks from the Maine International Center for Digital Learning. On that day we constructed a list of important things teachers should know when they start teaching in a 1:1 classroom. I just came across the list again and thought it was worth posting again.

Girlshealth.gov was created in 2002 by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Office on Women's Health  (OWH) to help girls (ages 10 to 16) learn about health, growing up, and issues they may face. Girlshealth.gov promotes healthy and positive behaviors in girls, giving them reliable and useful health information in a fun, easy-to-understand way. TeensHealth is accessible 24 hours a day so you can get the doctor-approved information you need to make educated decisions - or help a friend who needs advice. There's a lot of confusing, misleading, and just plain wrong health information on the Web. Our mission is to tell it to you straight.

The purpose of this guide is to provide mentors and instructional coaches with a rich set of materials from which they can draw as they practice their craft.
