This is a Guestbook for my photo site that I made back for module 2. i wanted to have the entries be displayed like a blog, with the most recent posts displaying on top of the older ones so in the SELECT.... i used the ORDER BY feature to do this. i also noticed that everytime i loaded the page, an empty posting would show up on the guestbook, so in the SELECT i had to specific WHEN something specific was happening... aka.... when the name field was filled out. that is why there is a *required next to the name input

i am re-bookmarking this site and re-tagging it with the mod 2 tag, because i have adjusted things a bit in my FTP... organized things a bit. So the old site bookmarked with the url http://thisandthat.nfshost.com/picturehome.html WILL NOT WORK ANYMORE. to reach that page, you need to hit this url: http://thisandthat.nfshost.com/moduletwo/picturehome.html which is the page bookmarked here. i did this because i am adjusting somethings on this page for mod 4 and when im done, i will retag with mod 4 challenges, but im not ready, at this point in time 3/10/09 to do that yet.

Form Validator test - Submit Name and Email Address

I couldn't bring myself to add these entries on the bottom of my existing module 2 website - instead I went back and added links to the existing pages to this 'new' page, which echoes entries from a data table created entirely in myphpAdmin. PS - my boyfriend actually hates The Land Before Time. I was just having a little fun.

This is a fake profile consisting of four pages that share the same CSS. In some universe, it could pass as legitimate.

For anyone who attempts the guestbook challenges, this tutorial looks like it will offer some solid guidance. Thank goodness for those kind-hearted programmers who do what they can to help the simpletons. :)

Another great beginners' tool. What I like about this site are the links within the tutorial that allow you to locate almost anything (Javascript wise) you could possibly be looking for (IE: checkbox selection, popups/alerts). It is also organized in a pristine manner which is of utmost importance.

Here is my revised cookie recipe which now include a comment box with sends users' comments to a database using PHP.

This is something I've created recently. I use PayPal for the "store side" of the site. I've recieved a few orders here and there...no million dollars yet, but everything adds up (eventually). I had been using AdWords...but had to recently suspend that service due to lack of funds in my own pocket. I just registered for Google Analytics and will be sure to email you a snap shot of the screen. The "store" side is located under products.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Unobtrusive Jquery for webprog-5-e. Nav bar is dimmed at 40 percent, and goes to 100 percent on hover. After hover, it returns to 40 percent. The whole div takes the effect. BTW, this is how I called my div in Jquery: $("#mydiv"). Took me almost 3 hours to find that out. :)

For the final project I completed the QU Campus map. The site utilizes PHP and CSS to pull in content and layout the site. The menus utilize CSS and PHP is used to pull in the images and code the label (or legend) section below the images. Google Maps API also integrates allowing users to view and zoom the campus. The site is best viewed using internet explorer, there are formatting issues for the CSS of the menus for those using Mozilla. Also did anyone notice that the official QU map is missing #34? They may want to consider addressing this... Anyhow have a great summer!

This is a more advanced tutorial on using Ajax and PHP to extract a list from a MySql database that can be done in a way that an ordered list can't provide. After you've created the database, you use PHP and Ajax to drag and drop data in the order you want it extracted, then you can save the data in this newly-defined order.
