The site seems to be the most helpful css site out there. IF anyone has used the site 'flashkit' its a very similar concept. The site provides tutorials, reference libraries, website samples, and a multitude of css help. I recommend checking it out for any css questions you may have.

I retooled my recipe to include an image, links with changing colors and hover effect, font changes, divs, etc. Enjoy!

Since counters are critical to the usability of MySQL, I thought this copy-and-past version of a counter code would be handy for people.

I asked 2 questions related to Javascript.

At the 17:23 mark in the first video of the JavaScript module, I asked if Professor Halavais could clarify some text on the screen. However, the text may have been blurred out deliberately since the surrounding text is fuzzy but not as bad. Just don't want to miss any important steps!

Its interesting that javascript is fading off the design of html pages, yet it is becoming a key tool for flash programming...maybe javascript was just misplaced in the early development of the web.

I created a working, horizontal menu bar on the main page HTML file for the web site I created earlier in the semester. The menu bar allows people to click on individual presidents' names to find out their favorite foods.

As all my other bookmarks have been, this page explains in wordy English (but understandable) what Ajax is. After reading this page I think I have a better understanding of what it is....actually implementing it might be another story though...

This is a link to a helpful tutorial page that defines some of the types in database. none of the examples in the lecture are text, but in the challenge the data is primarily text which lead me to believe that the type should be text. I received an error message when doing this. As I searched to find troubleshooting help I found that the varchar type also includes text.

This is a tutorial that gives you code examples and explanation on how to check for various invalid email address scenarios.

This is a nice, simple tutorial on how to submit forms using php and jquery. It's done by a 20-year-old who admits he was lost the first time he tried to write these codes. That made me feel better!

I found this website by googling php for dummies. I was having a difficult time after reading and watching the tutorials so I immediately began looking for the basics and some explainations. This site made it easy to get the basics and a lot of alternative ways to find tutorials. I recommend it for anyone as confused as I was at the getgo.

I added a comment to the viddler timeline. This comment is useful in terms of validation. When you go to validate your pages and you have included "POST" the page does not validate. For validation purposes you must enter it as "post".

Dice: successful. They were a LOT harder than I thought they would be... much love to Ellise for taking the time to explain the mathematical side to me.

Visualize the dice...I must say this challenge has given me the most grief since the class began. After about four days of trying and talking to classmates it has finally become a reality. This page has two die, that roll randomly. The Die are courtesy of Jen Rock and her excellent photoshop skills. Thanks to her and her refusal to do another challenge, this assignment has been completed.

It WORKS!!! Finally!!! And I only had to spend about 8 hours on it. Hah! This is my random rolling die page, and many many MANY thanks to Jen Rock, Ellise Kuban, Dr. H and my friend Evan the Bard (moniker) for helping me out with the code. Just goes to show that sometimes it takes a village!
