I found this helpful for me, the "Absolute Beginner"! Describes a little more about what PHP is, what it does, and how we can utilize it.

This is a clear and simple introduction for newbies like me. I'm willing to learn from any source possible. So the more intros I get, the better.

I came across this site dealing with HTML through Google. Browsing through, I found it to be great, even for myself, a stone cold beginner to this stuff. It's pretty much a complete tutorial regarding HTML starting from the most basic parts all the way to the advanced material and know-how. In the page itself you will see [Previous] and [Next] buttons which walk you to the next level of the tutorial, down the left side of the page is each part of the tutorial. Hope this helps!

The key to this tutorial is that it is created for "the total non-programmer." This site is a step by step break down of javascript and answers many questions you may have.

I found this site by searching "HTML for Dummies" I had read the book version some time ago when I was starting out with HTML and got distracted by something and lost the book. It gives you some great tips on how to do what you want to do!

I'm always being asked to provide chart information for my business stories in the newspaper, but what if I could do it in CSS and make it pretty? That's what this programming tip provides, and it looks pretty cool, too.

I think CSS charts are one of my favorite thing :). I am sure, someday, they will be superseded by built-in charting tags, but for now, I love 'em.

I'm finding this page to be very useful. It has many different "cheats" for not only CSS but other web development programs.

This shows how to set up style sheets so you don't have to reinvent the wheel every time you want to design an element similar to what you did last time. This makes it easier for type, color and other elements to have a continuity and to feel more cohesive. It also saves valuable time if you know you are going to use a certain design style over and over.

Had some help with the CSS parts: Used Chapter 1 (Specifically Page 41) in Head First HTML to walk me through the CSS coding.

Nice work here. A couple of suggested improvements. First, you should avoid using the center tag, but if you do, it should be inside the "body" tag--generally nothing comes between the HTML tag and the head tag. Also, you're missing your body :). However, it meets the requirements for the assignment, and looks good doing it.

When I view my recipe page on the desktop the image and links work fine. But when I publish it to the internet, the link for the image works but the image does not show up. I followed the steps meticulously and cannot figure out what has happened. Can you let me know what I missed?

Hopefully I already answered this, but in case not: *Everything* for the site has to get uploaded to the server. So, if you are including an image, the image also has to go up to the server. Next week, when we do style sheets, the style sheet has to go up to the server. Since it's a whole 'nother computer, you need to make sure all the pieces that make up your page/site make it up.

So, great page. But :)... Tables for layout is bad news. There's no way to predict how it will be viewed on some devices, and it makes it harder (in some cases) to be spooned into a CMS. So, fine for now, but lose the <table> habit for anything other than tables as we move forward. (In this case, floating the image to the left would accomplish the same effect, but provide a liquid layout...)

And yes, in response to the first time around, I've provided a longer deadline, for more flexibility. Generally, the work is due within one week after the module is scheduled. I hoped tabs were unobtrusive... I went back and redid a page from Module 1, putting all my travel abroad trips in one tabbed content box. The first sequence of code I tried nearly ruined my life, but Dr. Halavais was kind enough to send me a link that didn't make me want to end my life.

Small issue: when fonts are user-changed, it can bounce the last tab to a second line. But good enough to meet the requirements for the assignment, and good for you for trying something especially challenging.
