This website presents the initial version of the LATC Data Publication & Consumption Tools Library. The website gives an overview of the main steps of the Linked Data publication and consumption process and associates open source tools from the library to each step in the process.

The OWL Web Ontology Language is designed for use by applications that need to process the content of information instead of just presenting information to humans. OWL facilitates greater machine interpretability of Web content than that supported by XML, RDF, and RDF Schema (RDF-S) by providing additional expressive power along with a formal semantics. The group's work is complete with the publication of OWL 2 (Second Edition). There may be new Errata and discussion on public-owl-dev@w3.org.

In order to support data set owners to publish their datasets as Linked Data on the Web, as well as to support data consumers to access and integrate Linked Data from the Web, the LATC project has compiled a library of open source toolkits that cover all stages of the Linked Data publication (modeling, linking, serving) and consumption process (discovery, consolidation, application). By gathering high-quality open source tools in the form of a consistent library, we hope to lower the barriers to publishing Linked Data as well as to interacting with the Web of Data.

The Suggested Upper Merged Ontology (SUMO) and its domain ontologies form the largest formal public ontology in existence today. They are being used for research and applications in search, linguistics and reasoning. SUMO is the only formal ontology that has been mapped to all of the WordNet lexicon. SUMO is written in the SUO-KIF language. SUMO is free and owned by the IEEE. The ontologies that extend SUMO are available under GNU General Public License. A catalyser for the Web of data Datalift brings raw structured data coming from various formats (relational databases, CSV, XML, ...) to semantic data interlinked on the Web of Data. Datalift is an experimental research project funded by the French national research agency. Its goal is to develop a platform to publish and interlink datasets on the Web of data. Datalift will both publish datasets coming from a network of partners and data providers and propose a set of tools for easing the datasets publication process. The AIFB Web Portal is the public web site of the Institute of Applied Informatics and Formal Description Methods (AIFB) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. It uses Semantic MediaWiki to provide a highly customised Content Management System. The site provides content in two languages (German and English), and it offers rich views for browsing different kinds of data. The content of the AIFB Web Portal is regularly edited by most members of the institute, from secretary to professor, but it is not open for public editing.

CumulusRDF is an RDF store on cloud-based architectures. CumulusRDF provides a REST-based API with CRUD operations to manage RDF data. The current version uses Apache Cassandra as storage backend.
