The European Centre for Ontological Research (ECOR) represents a new approach in applying ontology to a variety of problems in information science and related areas. The Centre, which was founded at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken in 2004, draws on the expertise and skills of existing institutions throughout Europe.

DERI's Linked Data Research Centre (LiDRC) is organised into research themes addressing certain aspects of Linked Data publishing and consuming. You can find the current research themes in the table below or have a look at the LiDRC Lab, a collection of tools and services we are working on.

Project activities will involve focused groups from both the STE "demand" and the "supply" sides. Target groups include enterprises showing high economic value, data volume and complexity, international presence and sophisticated ICT base, like the automotive industry, banking & insurance and process industries an one side and, on the other hand, ICT products & services providers, system embedders, consulting companies, research centres and working groups involved in applied RTD projects. The combined analysis of initial selected industries vs. key cross-sector business processes needs, will lead to a broader identification and analysis of the potential of STE based solutions.

DERI Vocabularies is a URI space for RDF Schema vocabularies and OWL ontologies maintained at DERI, the Digital Enterprise Research Institute at NUI Galway, Ireland. The site is operated by DERI's Linked Data Research Centre.
