This is a very good site for language learners and teachers. It includes video materials and relevant worksheets for each video material. Students can watch the films, and work with those worksheets. This site helps to improve all four skills which is very important in EFL\ESL settings.

These materials are from BBC Learning English site. All of them are downloadable and each audio & video material have its pdf file (with transcript and vocabulary). These audios/videos are good for developing students' listening and reading skills, increasing students' vocabulary, and also speaking skills. It depends on the purpose of using this material. For example I used the first one (I haven't used the others yet) "Are men the weaker sex" with my intermediate students. While listening they underlined all the unknown words they had come up with, then we discussed the words together (I explained them in a target language). After, the discussion, I asked them not to look at the transcript and listened to the audio again. At the end of the audio they told me what the audio was about and in this way I could make them speak.

This is a wonderful site and everybody can find audio and video materials on their level. All the materials develop listening, speaking, reading skills (skimming, scanning, true/false, etc), increase students' vocabulary. Almost all of them contain pdf files with activities and transcripts which also can be done online. All the materials provide examples (both online and on pdf file). I used some of them in my classes. I would like to talk about the video that explains the differences between the words of American English and British English. It was a wonderful video that could explain the different use of pants/trousers and other words also. In addition to video there are also exercises which also reinforces the vocabulary and provide with additional activities that develop students' different skills.

This is a wonderful activity for developing students' listening, reading (skimming and scanning), speaking skills, as well as increasing vocabulary. it contains variety of activities which are based on the listening. Moreover, all the activities can be done both online and on paper (all materials are printable including the transcript of the audio). It contains a pre-watching vocabulary activity the story a comprehension activity a language activity about idioms I used this material with my two intermediate students. Though the level was lower I have decided to try. In order to help them I wrote down the words/expression that they might be unknown and discussed them before listening. Then they listened to the audio but still had difficulties to understand completely what the audio was mainly about. In order to solve the misunderstanding I have decided to give the transcripts to read while listening (It helped much to understand). I used the third activity to check whether they could scan and skim the information (they could as I guess reading helped them very much). The last activity was a multiple choice activity where the students should look at the given idioms and choose the best meaning. Suggestion- If your students are not high intermediate/advanced the process will be slowed down. Just use transcript and after listening discuss the text. It will help.

I found this handout useful because the flashcards that I have posted right below this handout will be helpful for identifying the animals' names. Moreover, kids can not only look at the flashcards but also read the spelling of each word. Besides, there will also be some animals that will be unknown even for the teacher (it happened to me very often) and for not wasting the time to look up in the dictionary, teachers can use this handout in case of necessity.

These flashcards can be used for teaching children animals

These are flashcards of animals. They are colorful and funny. I'm completely sure kids will like them

When I was doing my practicum in EEC I really had problems in finding good flashcards. The problems was that in order to find a picture of a particular animal, I had to type the animal's name (eg.lion, cat) and then choose on of them, then change the size (make it bigger or smaller) and this process took me a long time. When I found this site I was very happy because they are very funny and colorful and there are approximately 10-15 animal picture that I can print immediately without searching them long or changing the size.

This material is for beginner level kids. Kids can color the alligator both online and on paper. After coloring they can cut the parts and stick together. It's a creative material and may interest kids very much

This material will be appropriate to use with kids because it can increase kids' creativity. From the language point, it is also very useful material as we can teach the letter a as it begins with and also body parts (hands, legs, tail, head, and so forth). It is very interactive material and can be used not only by teachers but also by moms who have little kids. Yesterday, I printed out this alligator and used for our neighbor's kid, who was very naughty and didn't interested in anything. Due to this material I was able to keep her quite and also teach some English words and also two-three colors which we used to color the alligator.

I used these dialogs with my brother, who wanted to improve his English. Generally speaking he wanted to listened to native speakers speech and daily conversations. During the listening I didn't show the transcript of the dialogs in order to check whether he understood the meaning. To tell the truth there were some unknown words and expressions even for me. He could get the main meaning of the dialogs, however there were words and expressions that were quite difficult for him to understand. So, to solve the problem I used the vocabulary list written below.

This site provides free materials for kids. There are printable worksheets with their answer sheets for different levels in different topics. There are also games, study tools, quizzes, tutorials, checking spelling sheets and online activites, etc. Moreover, it provides with EBooks for different levels from the beginner to the advanced. The site has also a book store where popular and well designed books for different levels are recomended.

This is a huge site with different interesting sub sites. The certain activity that I've explored is designed especially for Business English classes. There are useful worksheets that are printable and can be very effective both to learn new specific vocabulary and to practice already learnt words.

Dear all, here is a link where I found a collection of strange signs. You may enjoy sharing it with your students or colleagues. Actually it is not an activity but it is an excellent raw material for creating a good activity. For example you may ask your students to decide what is wrong in these signs and getting students to correct them. Since the list is very funny and authentic I think it is very motivating for discussing it too so this may become a very good topic for the classroom discussion. Anyway I think you may create an excellent activity for the development of your students' speaking skills.

Hangman is an excitement game, plus it is very fruitful for the vocabulary enhancement. The level of the game is high intermediate. Player is supposed to guess the word by clicking on the letters. For some help the player has definition button and the button with the hint. Player has 6 tries to guess the word. I find the game very fascinating and useful.

Create a Room This game is designed to enhance or/and reinforce beginners' vocabulary. The learnes are supposed to decorate the different rooms.The game is attractive for kids since it is presented in colorful pictures and because the children are supposed to create and arrange the rooms up to their own desire.
