Teaching is content based: guessing the meanings from the video stuff, then reinforcing them with the help of multiple choice activity. I tried it with my sister, and the result was pretty good. After watching the video, she wrote a composition using all the set expressions in the video. She used all of them correctly.

A great resource to teach kids basic grammar like there is and there are. You can find worksheets for each form(positive, negative, questions and short answers) by clicking on it.

You can have kids do this hands on craft project to reinforce vocabulary about shapes, colors, train parts. Beyond that, there's a lot of useful language for doing crafts: cutting out, construction paper, gluing, etc that kids can pick up when you do such projects on a regular basis.

Though the level was lower I have decided to try. In order to help them I wrote down the words/expression that they might be unknown and discussed them before listening. Then they listened to the audio but still had difficulties to understand completely what the audio was mainly about. In order to solve the misunderstanding I have decided to give the transcripts to read while listening (It helped much to understand). I used the third activity to check whether they could scan and skim the information (they could as I guess reading helped them very much). The last activity was a multiple choice activity where the students should look at the given idioms and choose the best meaning. Suggestion- If your students are not high intermediate/advanced the process will be slowed down. Just use transcript and after listening discuss the text. It will help.

I used these dialogs with my brother, who wanted to improve his English. Generally speaking he wanted to listened to native speakers speech and daily conversations. During the listening I didn't show the transcript of the dialogs in order to check whether he understood the meaning. To tell the truth there were some unknown words and expressions even for me. He could get the main meaning of the dialogs, however there were words and expressions that were quite difficult for him to understand. So, to solve the problem I used the vocabulary list written below.

This game is designed for beginner level learners. Its goal is to practice English numbers (1-10). I especially recommend this game because it also makes chilren count and after playing it once they should be able to count from one to ten. It also provides the pronunciation of each number. So, children would also learn how to pronounce English numbers. I've tried this game with my 6 year-old cousin, and after playing it several times he was able to pronounce Enlgish numbers.

This is a game that may be appropriate for all levels starting from low-intermediate. This game suggests some letters and the player should make as many words with these letters as possible. There is a time limit, and the words that are not correctly spelled are not recognized. At the end all the possible words are suggested. I tried that myself and it was a real fun, the best thing for this game is to think FAST!
