This activity is very effective for beginner level students. They can have fun and learn letters with the help of listening and reading. I have tried it with a 9 year old child and she enjoyed it.
EFL teachers can use this link to print different recipes and pictures which can be used especially with intermediate level students. Students will see and learn how to cook things and how to write recipes. They will learn both cooking and the language (the use of imperative: food items).
I have tried it myself and baked tasty cookies!
Power up WordGirl and Huggy Face as they solve crimes with the perfect word to save the day.
I liked this game although the voice that gives directions throughout the game is not a very pleasant one. It has interesting words and every time there is new context to practice them.
You can have kids do this hands on craft project to reinforce vocabulary about shapes, colors, train parts. Beyond that, there's a lot of useful language for doing crafts: cutting out, construction paper, gluing, etc that kids can pick up when you do such projects on a regular basis.
A simple game that takes kids from a consumer's role to more of a producer's role by changing parts in a movie. Might be challenging for kids with lower proficiency.
