Bag of Tricks

This is a good game for practicing comparatives. Students will see the adjectives and write the comparatives. They will see their score at the end. I have tried this game with my intermediate level students. They liked it but they weren't able to type so quickly. When they tried it for the second time they got used to its speed.

It will be interesting and fun for children to make a face and learn its parts simultaneously. I have tried this game with my sister and she enjoyed it a lot. She learnt the parts of the face but she didn't want to stop playing.

This is a fun game which will help students to learn about the history of the Olympic games and improve their sports vocabulary. They will also check their knowledge about the UK. My intermediate level students played and enjoyed it very much. They learnt new words and got information about the history of the Olympics.

This game enlarges fruit and color vocabulary.In the game there are 15 questions and each has four variants for students to choose the right one. I have piloted it with my beginner level students. It was both fun and reinforcement for them.

In this speaking activity students think about and discuss a city they would like to live in for a year. The activity is based on themes from the British Council OPENCities project.

They are flash cards for speaking activities. It can be used with a group or as pair work. The student is to describe what they see in the pictures in the flash card to the rest of the group until they can guess what is in the flash card. It is very engaging and the students will practise speaking with fun and excitement.

The flashcards don't seem to be free though.

I used some of these activities during my internship and they were really helpful for practicing present perfect. And besides Ss got to know many things about their peers.

We liked all the activities especially " Job Interview".

I would use this game both with beginners and higher level students.In case of beginners I would do some variation. They could do miming, or tell the first letter,like it`s food and it starts with b. I think this is really a fun game and can be used fro practicing not only nouns but adjectives, verbs.

I would use this activity to revise the previous vocabulary and to make it fun. I think SS will like this activity because they are already familiar with a similar game called 'Cities' .

This is a grammar activity used for pre-intemediate level students of all age groups. The purpose is to practice comparative adjectives. I love the activities that require standing, moving around the room and interviewing peers.

Really engaging fun activity, it works all the time. Appropriate for all levels.
