I describe this site to my classes as an online (electronic) reading log. I feel that they are able to understand it better if I use that phrase, as many children think that they need to log in and read books from the site.

Great Ed tech links

This site enables you to see what is going on in Australia and around the world. I use the Calendar of Events to see what is coming up and to also remind me of what is coming up. I am then able to prepare lessons or focus on an event and obtain information that is required, to share with the classes and my colleagues. Very, very helpful :)

This is an annual event that not only brings people together, it also gives hope, inspiration and a sense of community. I am able to obtain all the information required to host such an event from this site.

Readlists is a site that lets you put together bundles of articles, share these articles with others and also download the bundle as an ebook.

Storify is one of our favourite sites, as it takes a whole new approach to story telling. We use it for putting together tutorials, summarising conferences and we think it has some amazing possibilities in the classroom. November 30, 2012 at 01:23PM

Great site detailing the history of information and writing. You can navigate through resources with a Timeline or Map view. 

Thi site provides information on an online "P2PU Copyright 4 Educators Course." The course is of 7 weeks duration.

Excellent site about the history of specific words. Includes videos that would support particular topics in history etc. An example is the video on propaganda.
