Can I Use That? A Guide to Creative Commons | OER Commons - 6 views

  •
This is one of the best Creative Commons resources that I have found! It provides a thorough overview of the different CC licenses in a variety of different charts that are easy to read and understand. It also breaks down commonly asked questions regarding the use of photos and attribution, focusing on Google's photo tools. Finally, it provides good options for online photos for teachers and students so that they are aware of and following CC licensing laws.

Khan Academy: 7th Grade Math - 0 views

The Khan Academy has wonderful resources on many topics. The online tutorials are great visual examples of solving various math problems that teachers can utilize in the regular classroom, flipped classroom, tutoring students or online courses. I would also coordinate with the teacher and link these resources to my library websites for students and parents to access. Learn for free about math, art, computer programming, economics, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, finance, history, and more. Khan Academy is a nonprofit with the mission of providing a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere.

Old Standards v. Common Core: A Side-by-Side Comparison of English Language Arts - Foun... - 0 views

I tagged this site because I think it helps teachers to save time. When the CCSS first rolled out, my district spent a lot of time reinventing the wheel. Much the the AASL Crosswalk, I think teachers would find this tool useful. I would first introduce this source to them in a quick over-view. I would then sit in small groups or one on one and help teachers realign their standards to the new the CC.

Copyright and Fair Use Google Slides lesson that focuses a lot on Fair Use. The Slides are broken into modules that can be taught using a LMS or Google Classroom and broken into multiple lessons. Includes a good lesson focusing on the different types of CC licenses.
