It is designed to minimize the distractions that come between you and your writing.  This app also auto saves your work and works offline. StudyStack - StudyStack helps students memorize anything with millions of flashcards that have already been added to the site or the ability to create your own.  There are dozens of flashcard categories including foreign languages, math, LSAT and GRE. Graph.tk - An app for math majors, Graph.tk is an app that brings the graphing capabilities of your calculator to the browser. It's easy to use and good for plotting graphs based on equations. WordReference - For anyone taking a foreign language course or studying abroad, this extension gets you the translations you need in a fast and easy way.  Since it's an extension and placed right next to the address bar, you don't even have to leave the site you're on for a quick translation. We invite you to join us for the first annual Google Apps for Education Singapore Summit to be held at the Singapore American School on September 8 and 9. This high intensity two day event focuses on deploying, integrating and using Google Apps for Education to promote student learning in K-12 and higher education. The program features Google Certified Teachers, Google Apps for Education Certified Trainers, practicing administrators, solution providers, Google engineers, and representatives from the Google Apps for Education team. 

Many of the schools that have introduced iPads in the classroom also use the Google Apps for Education suite. Unfortunately these two do not always mix well together. Using Google Apps on the iPads has always been quite tedious, but today Google updated its Google Drive App that solves many of the problems.

One of the hardest thing with using the iPad in the classroom is finding the time to go through all of the apps in the iTunes Store listed under the education banner. We have started to list some of the apps we've found under each of the Key Learning Areas.

For educators using iPads in the classroom, Happi Papi offers an Education Evaluation Program. Educational institutions that are members of the program will receive free versions of all new Happi Papi apps being launched. When a new app is available, Happi Papi will email a code so that you may install and evaluate the app on your iPad for free.

Our class is very lucky to have two iPad2s and five iPod Touches as we explore what it's like to be an iClassroom. This project is supported by the Manitoba Association of Multiage Educators. Here is a list of the apps we are using in our grade 2 classroom. We wanted to start with a complete list and will work to add descriptions of the apps.
