This is a combination search engine and encyclopedia to get related digital content from multiple sources at once. Any topic can be entered to immediately find wikipedia entries, videos, news, images, etc., including suggested related topics. This would be a good research tool for students as well as learning instrument in evaluating online information relevance.

Wolfram Alpha is an "answer engine" that responds to queries by computing answers from data. For example, if "Hong Kong" and "New York" are typed into the search box, Wolfram computes their relative populations, distance and flying times, time zone and current time, etc.

This site originated with Bernie Dodge (SDSU), creator of the WebQuest. Directed at educators, the site includes info on creating WebQuests, as well as a search engine for finding existing WebQuests.

Kizui is a downloadable kid safe web browser. Teachers, or parents, can download this browser and let children roam free on the site without worrying that something inappropriate might come up. This is similar to other search engines with a tool bar at the top that has links tailored to children's interests. On this tool bar you will find links to music, videos, games, homework help, and other things that might they might want to explore. This site is most appropriate for elementary aged students.
