This website does require a $20 membership per year but has a lot of useful resources. When people think of graphic organizers they don't always think of using them for math. This website has a lot of graphic organizers that are specifically applicable to math.

The Enchanted Learning website offers many resources. I had never thought of looking for graphic organizers on this site. Thanks for posting it.

Mary's site provides assessment resources for each grade level and unit of Everyday Math. You will need a username and password to access the resources, but you can easily obtain this from the district.

This website offers math practice with fractions, money, geometric shapes, algebra, order of operations and a variety of other topics. Students can access flashcards and simply practice doing many types of math. There are some pretty nice games as well.

This site is suitable for students in elementary and middle school for practicing their math skills. Students can work in areas such as measurement, data, and algebraic concepts. One of the best things about this site is the illustrated math dictionary. The dictionary provides students with visual representations and examples for hundred of terms. Many of these are similar to examples a textbook might give for introducing a concept. The site also provides worksheets, games, and a wide variety of different puzzles.

This site has some handy and downloadable graphic organizers for science and math. A few I enjoyed were the number line and hundreds chart as well as the organizer for the water cycle.

Hundreds of reproducible worksheets covering many different topics in the areas of math and language arts.

This is a great site to introduce to new teachers who have few resources for student practice pages. I've enjoyed using this site as I build my fourth-grade resource library.

Science and Math interactive learning activities (Gizmos) for student learning.

I've used these in the past. I agree that they're good. Do we still have a license?

@ Bill: We do still have some licenses. I've used Gizmos this year. I would ask Christine about getting your kids on (?).

My student have really been struggling with making change. A huge advantage of this site is that students can first select the difficulty level. Most of my second graders would be using the Medium difficulty level, which uses amounts less than $5. However, I love that I can easily differentiate for my struggling students by having them select the easy level (amounts less that $1), and my advance students by having them select the hard level (amounts less than $100). They even have a Super Brain (big spender) option! This site would be great practice for all of my students and would be a good addition to our math centers activities.

Thank you for sharing this. I currently have a student who still struggles with making change, and she could use this site when working with her mentor. I like how it is leveled so she can start with easier amounts and then progress.

I stumbled upon this site by chance and just love it! It has links to dozens of sites that provide practice in many different areas of reading, writing/grammar, math, science and social studies. I could easily incorporate many of the reading and writing/grammar links, especially the phonics, sight words, and spelling sites into my "word work" literacy station.

Madlibs, sudoku, web books, reading, math! It's all here and it's FUN!!!

My own kids like this site. It is a nice way for them to use technology in an educationally sound way. And yes, I have played some of these games as well. Fun!

A fun site for K-8 activities

Resources for Everyday Mathematics, including online games sorted by grade level and unit.

The games on this site will help students build their multiplication skills, and they will have a blast as they learn. Give the Diaper Derby game a try!

I have to say, I really enjoyed the Diaper Derby :) What I liked about this site is it gives the teacher ideas of ways to teach the multiplication facts as well as games for students to practice their facts. You can also customize many things to practice certain levels of facts. I also noticed that the site has ideas for additional games you can play with the entire class or small groups!

I've actually been looking for a website like this to help my 8 year old learn her math facts in a fun way. This is perfect! So many different options, too, which is great. Thanks Sarah!

A fun site for younger kids but it also has a section for older students too!

This is the computer resource specifically for 1st graders. Students are directed to this site and then roam the activities they like the best or the ones I feel they need the most practice on. The Everyday Math website has games specific for each grade level.

This site was created by GE to teach students about the science, technology, math, and history of light. This would work very well in our science unit about heat and light. There are areas that students can read about light, hands on activities, and experiments. For my second graders, many of the readings would need to be done together, but there are also some interactive timelines and animations that students could check out on their own. The hands on activities and experiments would also be fun to bring in to the classroom, and are probably what I would use the most. The only downfall of this site is that the link to the "school lighting challenge" is currently not working. I'd be interested in checking this out if it gets up and running.

nice site to reference from, we cover light in media when we introduce cameras, so its nice to have some visuals as well

This site provides content mainly for younger children in preschool or early elementary. The site says they are "infant games," but I'm not sure too many children under one that could do any of these activities. At the homepage, you have two choices. Access either numeracy for math related practice or literacy for reading and word practice. The site also provides additional links for student practice. In addition, there are some printable resources. One drawback to this site is that it contains a great deal of advertising which is maybe why it has some pretty good content for free.

This resource offers math practice in a game format. Ratio Blaster Game is just what my fourth grade students need after completing their fraction and decimal unit. Advantage: students enjoy game formats. Disadvantages: some games lack error correction formats and students are exposed to lots of adds in margins of the window.

This is an AMAZING site with a ton of educational apps for iPod Touch and iPad. You can view and print a list of these apps with a description and cost of each of them. Prices for the apps range from free to quite expensive, but even some of the more costly apps have free versions available. The apps are also sorted into categories such as reading, math, art, and communication.

Interactive way for students to practice a variety of geography and math exercises.

I tried this out and really liked the math practice. I can have my students practice their addition and subtraction facts easily. In addition to that they can select how many digits to add or subtract and if they will be required to carry or borrow when doing so. I also really liked the Little Farmer money practice. This is a major concept we work on in second grade, so this site would be perfect!

Thank you for sharing this, Greg. I appreciate how the different activities are leveled. I will plan to use this to help my students practice long division, a skill that they are all over the place on in terms of abilities.
