This site contains videos, resources for learning and various studies. The one downfall to this site, I found, is that the latest date posted at the bottom is 2002. Pretty good stuff though.

I would use this website to help students review different math concepts and it would be a fun way for them to learn about different cultures around the world.

Smartkiddies is a completely free math practice site out of Australia for students in K-6. After creating a teacher account, you can set up a class with usernames and passwords for up to 75 students per class. After creating a class, you can assign instructional videos, activities, worksheets, assessments, and enrichment opportunities. Progress reports and messaging are built in to help you monitor and communicate about student progress. Another great feature is the ability to practice basic math facts and concepts by competing against other kids from around the world.

Website contains tutorials on nouns, articles, etc. in Italian, then gives you many opportunities to practice. The ability to jump back and forth between tutorial and practice is very handy and allows learners to move at their own pace.

This is another video website where you can search probably any how-to-do something. For my students, tuning their violins is always an issue. I found lots of good tutorials on 'wonder how to" to get them started.

This site provides free podcasts or audio files you can stream that address most levels of learners, from beginning to advanced speakers. It would also be a great site for students to use over the summer so they don't get behind!

A good tutorial on the parts of a microscope and how to use it. Students can look through different lenses and at the same time review a checklist to make sure they are using he scope correctly.

4. The San Francisco Symphony has a website for kids. Sfskids.org/templates/musicLabF.asp?pageid=1. Categories to use are instruments of the orchestra, music lab and what's up at the symphony. This web site takes students through a scientific investigation about a large number of absences in a school district. Students work through the scientific method by looking at data, doing research, coming up with hypotheses, and drawing conclusions to determine what is making students in a school district absent. Very well explained for the teacher to implement.

This site totally rocks! I love science as inquiry, and this gives you a great activity to put best practices to use.

Schoology is a free service that allows you to create a social network-type environment for online instruction. Think of it as a combination of Moodle and Facebook and you've got a pretty good idea of what it is like.
