"New teacher survival central" contains a section called Tech Tools for Teachers, new teacher blogs, classroom tools, curriculum resources, and tutorials, training and development. A new teacher could spend a lot of time here, looking for help with a specific area or just perusing everything that is available.

This site was pretty cool, especially for Nebraska educators. This was the Official Nebraska Government Website for Teaching Materials. This site was mainly aimed towards History teachers, but it could probably be used by a variety of teachers. As a substitute at Boys Town, I would use it to educate students from other areas of the country about Nebraska. The downfall on this site is that it's very Nebraska centered. This might limit its usefulness to teachers from other states.

Teachers First offers teachers a large amount of resources to use in the classroom including current trends, lesson plans, information for new teachers and experienced, and even tips to keep parents involved. Lots of forms and worksheets are already created and can be modified.

This is a great website. You have to become a member. You can blog chat and create threads. Being a new teacher I have already used this a lot. Everyone on here is helpful with giving ideas. You can get lesson plans. It groups you by grades so if you are a high school teacher you don't have a Kindergarten teacher giving you suggestions and vice versa.

This site provides access to many resources for teachers. A great place to find tips, terms, resources, and message boards for teachers.

Astaweb.com is the American String Teachers Association website. It is run out of Fairfax, VA. Their email address is listed at the bottom of the site. They link to many resources, i.e. how to get great recruitment posters, information about competitions, string teacher jobs or a place to post a job. It looks as if they update it regularly. The most current job posting was July 7

Free (for basic) and easy to use creator of wiki pages. Teachers can sign up for no usage limits and no advertising for free providing it will be used for educational purposes (normally %50 a year). Teacher can create their own wiki page for a class or students can create their own wiki pages for an assignment/class, etc.

Full Option Science System. Website for science teachers with online resources and online activities for students. Free with a teacher user/pass. Good smartboard and interactive activities students can participate in. Contains links or other info related to the topics for inquiry.

Teachers' Domain has a ton of resources for students, and can be accessed by students, if they sign up for an account. The teacher can organize students into individual classes and create folders for students to access what it is you want them to utilize. There are great simulations, activities, and videos for students to explore.

This website has many different areas to help teacher. It has lots of resources including bulletin board ideas, printable worksheets, and lesson planning ideas. You need to be a member to receive full access.

This website is full of ideas from lesson plans to themes. It gives you belletin board ideas. It has everything from student needs to professional development needs for the teacher. Great website when your creativity is blocked

Has teaching tips and strategies from other teachers; includes photos & videos. (also has a teacher "helpline")

This has several links to places that offer special rates, coupons or discounts to teachers. Some are educationally connected and some are not. One of the many perks of being an educator!

This site is specifically for teachers with lesson plans and all sorts of resources. There are of coarse any links for information on books as you would expect from Scholastic. Also information for students and parents who are interested in learning more about books.

This website is centered around helping teachers integrate technology into their curriculum thoughtfully. It also lets teachers interact with each other to build a support network. The website is very organized, it is easy to navigate, has a tone of information, and the concept is explained very well.

This site is an overall teacher resource that provides many different links for a variety of topics. The site has great resources for parent communication, and lesson planning support.

A good site for students and teachers both. Lots of activities for students to do like games and puzzles, and homework helpers. The teachers section has worksheets, reference materials, and information on programs and workshops.
