Gives younger children an interactive instructional delivery of New York City and immigration.

I like this! Very accessible for young children and still appropriate for up to 4th grade.

This web site takes students through a scientific investigation about a large number of absences in a school district. Students work through the scientific method by looking at data, doing research, coming up with hypotheses, and drawing conclusions to determine what is making students in a school district absent. Very well explained for the teacher to implement.

This site totally rocks! I love science as inquiry, and this gives you a great activity to put best practices to use.

This has several resources for webquests for middle level students. Kids love webquests and they are a nice way to use the web for teaching in a more controlled environment.

This site offers tools to help students and teachers organize information. These can be used in any content area and they enable students to use their higher level thinking skills by solving problems during each "quest." This is a great way to infuse technology into the higher level thinking categories of Bloom's.

As a soccer coach it's good to have additional tools to help with different footwork and conditioning drills. This site has many videos that show moves, drills and technique.

Schoology is a free service that allows you to create a social network-type environment for online instruction. Think of it as a combination of Moodle and Facebook and you've got a pretty good idea of what it is like.

Apple's page giving instructions on how to create, edit, and work with iMovie. Uses both text and videos to present information.

A good tutorial on the parts of a microscope and how to use it. Students can look through different lenses and at the same time review a checklist to make sure they are using he scope correctly.

This site provides free podcasts or audio files you can stream that address most levels of learners, from beginning to advanced speakers. It would also be a great site for students to use over the summer so they don't get behind!

This is site where you create web like maps with others. The site look really amazing however I have not been able to spend more time on it yet to really see the true value yet. There is a section for educators that lowers the fees. There is also a free option where they strip down the functionality.

This "game" allows kids to participate in a science mission lead by scientists. They investigate if and why there is an increase in the shark population in an area. Information is incorporated in the game using online resources and video. They actually have to count the sharks in the area- so they have to go through stages in the scientific method. I think students will love this.

Great site for learning Geography! Physical and Political quizzes for each continent as well as plenty of games to choose from. The site also has a Russian language tutorial.

Web site with a lot of tutorials on many different diseases and conditions, tests and diagnostics, surgeries and treatments, and preventions. Students can be guided through these finding information such as symptoms, diagnoses, and treatments. The tutorials use images, animations, and sound in addition to the reading to convey the information.

Smartkiddies is a completely free math practice site out of Australia for students in K-6. After creating a teacher account, you can set up a class with usernames and passwords for up to 75 students per class. After creating a class, you can assign instructional videos, activities, worksheets, assessments, and enrichment opportunities. Progress reports and messaging are built in to help you monitor and communicate about student progress. Another great feature is the ability to practice basic math facts and concepts by competing against other kids from around the world.

This is another video website where you can search probably any how-to-do something. For my students, tuning their violins is always an issue. I found lots of good tutorials on 'wonder how to" to get them started.

Website contains tutorials on nouns, articles, etc. in Italian, then gives you many opportunities to practice. The ability to jump back and forth between tutorial and practice is very handy and allows learners to move at their own pace.
