UD EDU 352 Technology in Education

This website is perfect for elementary students and teaches the basics of health. It talks about illnesses/injuries, how the body works, how to stay healthy, and much more. I will use this in my class room to educate my students about being active and healthy. Basically, this website has a bunch of facts for young kids to stay healthy and to know about health.

This is a great site for teaching kids to stay healthy. I can use it in a health class that I teach. I could use it to help explain how the body works and explain how the body works.

Phys Ed/Health

I chose this website because it focuses on five main areas of science for elementary education. Such as, astronomy, earth science, life science, physical science, and technology. Each area goes further in depth about topics and includes apps and game for students to play. I would use this website if we were studying any of these five science areas.

This website is very useful because it has so much information on crucial topics. This website talks about literature devices and much more. I really like this website, it has tons and tons information that I can show my class on a screen and talk about it. Also, it mentions the parts of the stories and the meaning of them. I will use this website in my classroom.

I like how this websites allows teachers to download 29 worksheets dealing with language arts. The areas that the worksheets cover are capitalization, parts of speech, spelling, synonyms, and many more.This website is great for materials that will help students with language arts.

Testing

This website hooks students up to many different games, classes, examples, and problems. Is intended for all ages and can hook you up to almost anything pertaining to math.

Follows cats as they teach students how to do certain topics and gives them problems. Seems to be intended for younger students.

This is a nice tool for students to use as it gives many explanations for why formulas work as well as practice problems.

Gets ideas out to others such as colleagues, professors, adminstration. Can get feedback on many ideas and will also be a way to find out what works for others.

Is a way for collobarative learning and can show main points along with ideas. Is a good way to get information out in front of people.

This is a very good sharing site. Teachers can write documents and share with their peers. This could be useful to share lesson plans and activites.

Shows many different examples of lesson plans and gets very specific in each one. It is a little bit tougher to get through but once it is understood how it works it seems it would be good.

Interactive social studies site

This site is cool because it gives you applications to use for the interactive white board! Kids love being able to participate in class and using the smart board is a great way to do it. I would use this for Language Arts related lessons.

This website is a good resource for teachers to connect with other teachers to discuss popular topics in the world of teaching. I would read this just to get different angles on current education topics.

I like this website because it features lots of articles and pieces all related to current affairs and politics. It would be a great resource for exposing middle schoolers and high school students to some cutting edge social studies issues. I would use these articles as discussion starters in my class.

I think it can be somewhat difficult to relate social studies topics to current events, but it's something that will be important in order to make s.s topics more relatable. This site has so many current and relevant topics. I could use this site to help connect content or even just explore for myself to stay current on news.

I like that this site can be used for all different grade levels. I also like that if need you can "ask an expert." If I were to use this in a class room I think it would be helpful for researching states due to its "State Facts" section. I also think it would be fun to look at the section "This Day in History" daily to learn something new each day!

I chose this website because, again, it shows how a working teacher is applying different strategies to teach her class Math. I love the photographs and the layout is bright and engaging. I would use this website for gathering ideas for my own classroom. 

I picked this blog because I liked the simple layout and the practical info from a working 6th grade language arts teacher. I like the fact that she has her own class and talks about how her kids engage in her projects. As a teacher, I would read this website to gather ideas.

This is another site that offers Language Arts related games. I think games are a fun way to get children interested in learning so having an assortment of different games they can play is a good idea. The names of the games and overall layout of the site is fun and seems user friendly, especially for children.

3-6 Interactives - Fun, educational, online games geared towards third through sixth grade students. There are games for spelling, words, reading/grammar, and writing. I would use this website for review for the upper elementary.
