this is a good science education website that will really help me in the science teaching. I like magic school bus videos too. and this games helps to understand the concepts better.

This site is a good website for students who have dyslexia. Sometimes it is hard for them to understand or keep up when a teacher is reading. This website allows the students to have a book read to them that provides clear pronunciation and meaning of words. This is a good resource for any teacher because we may all have an experience with a student who has dyslexia. Amber Koth

This site provides a number of safe websites that students and teachers can use to blog and/or discuss classroom assignments. This is a great way for students to ask teacher questions without having to wait till the next day. (If the teacher checks it regularly)

This site would be great to use when teaching an "energy" lesson. This website is all about energy and students can do riddles, puzzles, quizzes, etc. This is a tool that can further their knowledge. They can use this website at school or at home. Amber Koth

I chose this website because your students can pick any area of math they want more practice with or you can direct your students to which area you want them to practice. I chose the "time" button. I practiced what certain times of the day would like on the clock. There are multiple levels, so they can keep going until they are a pro! Amber Koth

This is a great site for students to get more help on math. There is many different math topics and each on has extra practice and games to go along with that topic.

This site is a great site for teachers to access because they can gather teaching resources, share and collaborate online with other teachers, and they can look at the common core standards. This will come in use when people are starting out and just in general. It is always great to get another opinion of what other teachers are thinking and doing.

This website is amazing. I chose this website because it gives students problems to practice online which is great review for them after I teach a lesson. We can use this website in school or they can use it at home. It is for math but for hundreds of areas of math. The students just click on what they want to practice and ta-da! Amber Koth

I chose this website because it allows students to practice vocabulary and spelling online. I can simply let them practice spelling words or I can give the spelling test right there online. This is more engaging than a traditional pencil and paper spelling test. Amber Koth

This website allows students to read books on or offline and they are able to take a quiz over it online as well. If I set up an account for my students I can have them take quizzes online over books they read to test their understanding. This is a great site! Amber Koth

This site provides different PLN resources that students and teachers can use outside the classroom. The site also explains how to create your own PLN.

I stumbled upon this site and think it's very helpful for teachers. It explains the difference between the PLN of a traditionally networked teacher versus the PLN of a Web 2.0 connected teacher. This goes to show that a Web 2.0 networked teacher has access to many more resources than a traditionally networked teacher. This website has a ton of suggestions on using instructional technology. It also gives suggestions and tools to create and then maintain a PLN as a teacher.

This website is great for an "extra." This is very interesting, It shows the science of certain sports. Maybe students could read up on one of them and share with the rest of the class what it talks about. The students are learning about sports while incorporating science. Amber Koth

This site provides a couple different PLN's for teachers to use. Each site shared on this website has a description of what each site does.This is also a great way for teachers to seek expert advice and to also share their ideas and gain new ones.

Professional development and networking are vital in any field, and that's especially true for educators. This website helps educators to come up with fresh ideas for lesson plans and classroom activities. It also talks about integrating technology into lessons and how to meet state standards.

If you students are over 13, maybe Facebooking would be ok. When I was in high school, my teacher created a page called, "English with Mr. Bormann." It was strictly school related and his posts generally had to do with what was due when. He would also post educational tools for us to use since most of the students had Facebook. This page allowed us to connect as teacher and student without personal details about our lives. It all depends on what your school allows as well as parents. Amber Koth

This is an online social media site for business professionals. It can be used to find jobs or connect with other business professionals. It is different from Facebook because it isn't just about making friends but rather about helping you as a professional. Amber Koth

This is a professional networking site and would be a good idea to create a page for yourself. Creating this page will help market yourself and put a professional image of your skills for future employers to view.
