Sometimes the classroom needs an extra attention-getter. With Skype, there's a way for teachers to open conversations with several people--including experts, so I of course support this idea. Teachers can use this to interact with other classrooms around the state, around the country, or even around the world.

Why? How?

We used this in the classroom, but I think that it allows you to use Skype to locate different guest speakers around the world. I would use this if someone from the area couldn't make it in to talk to my class or if I wanted to get someone from miles away to speak in my class.

This website would be good to use for math. It provides teachers with printable worksheets and flashcards. It is setup by grade level from kindergarten to 12 grade. I will use this website to create flashcards and print off worksheets.

iCivics is a web-based education project designed to teach students civics and inspire them to be active participants in our democracy. I would use this website to generate different lesson plans to keep the class interesting.

This website has 16 websites that every teacher should know about. I think that this is awesome because they cover lots of different subject areas and are known to have helped other teachers with lessons.

Internet for classroom website lays all the grades out. It is easily understood. All you have to do is click on the grade you are teaching to and then a ton of different things about science for that grade will come up. There are different units or topics you can chose from such as weather. When you chose weather it will bring up a ton of links that have to do with weather. These links include things like storms, clouds, games, and test.

Reading subjects range in easy ways to learn syllables, sounding out words, questioning and comprehension.

This website is a good website for physical education. It gives numerous different ideas for lessons and games to play in gym class. It also gives ideas of how to get free or cheap equipment for gym. I will use this website to get ideas for gym games I can plan for my students.

This website has cool ideas for helping kids with spelling words. It's better than the traditional paper-pencil monotonous activities. This allows kids to interact with the words.
