This allows teachers to drop files in an online folder and access it from multiple computers. Collaborative folders can be created to share with partner teachers.
  •
Drop box seems very handy and is an easy way to store, sync, and, share files online. For an older class this would be beneficial. Now adays assignments are submitted online a lot more and this would be very easy for both the teacher and the student to see their files they have uploaded and both can edit and work on them. It would be helpful for the teacher to write notes on an assinment and the student could go in and read what the teacher has to say.

I chose this site, more than anything, becuase it's fun and it's games. I'd use this site as more of a reward or an educational time killer. Kids love to go to the computer lab and they love to play games. With this site you can also make sure that they are practicing math. You could also say that they have to play addition games, or fraction games, or whatever it is that you're studying in class to give them all the practice they can get.

A website that can be used at any grade level; however, I would use it as a center rather than a staple part of a lesson. Although it has lessons and sections for the older grades, it is based more for the younger grades, it would be more engaging for them.

  •
Education Game I selected this website because it has a lot of games suited for elementary students. Also, it includes comics for students to read, instead of playing games. This website focuses more on reading and math, as it has games only for these two subjects and arcade games. I will use this in the class with the younger grade levels.

Educational Games: This website has more fun games than educational games, but there are a few I really liked. There is a section of games that directly correspond with certain elementary books, such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I would use these games at the end of the book as a way to review with the students as well as keep the book fresh in their minds.

this is a great educational site. Mad libs were a favorite of mine as a child and I'm sure kids will have fun creating funny stories.
  •
I love this website, because it would be very appealing to students. This game looks exactly like an arcade game, so students would be interested, because they wont even know how educational it is. I would love to use this in the classroom for a Fun Friday day, so they are still learning, but getting their free time for getting all their hw in on time.

I chose this as my Educational site. This has several games designed to reach all the grade levels in elementary. A site like this will benefit not only the teacher but the students as well. Depending on what grade I teach in the future, I could use this for as low as Kindergarden or as high as the 5th grade. For Kindergarden and 1st grade, they have a game where the student needs to help out a monkey to put the days of the week in order. The New York Times featured this site as an award-winning games and apps, which is pretty cool.
  •
Educational Games (2): This website contains games for students K-5, featuring a variety of topic areas. These games were created or approved by certified school teachers and are free to use. They can be used on the computer or on a device such as an iPad, etc. I see myself using this as a parent of young children more than in the classroom as I plan to teach at the secondary level; however, I found the website to be very appealing for kids and the games are fun and engaging.
  •
This website is for younger students. It has a lot of different games that can be related to the classroom.
  •
This website, like other educational game websites, has a whole array of games based on grade level. I really like how each game has the standards that it aligns with. Again, I would allow my students to play this to help strengthen certain content area skills. I might encourage parents to allow students to play at home.
  •
I have used this website before, but I really like it, because there are so many different levels and topics to choose from. A lot of the games have challenges, so they can work toward beating their score and getting to the next level. I chose this site because it's live action and really interesting for students. I've used this site for students in relation to science courses before. We were doing a habitat/wildlife unit in science, and we would watch the eagles (and at the time their eggs and then babies) and talk about their habitat and patterns in relation to what we were learning. It made our lessons relevant to them and another living thing which is SO important to do with students.

I chose this website because you are able to stay in contact with parents and teachers. You are able to add grades, post discussion boards between student and teacher, or teacher and parents, able to add a calendar so students are updated for homework and tests, mailing lists for parents, and lastly, it is free! This would help with communicating between parents and starting a positive relationship with them to keep them informed with school work and any changes that have been made.

BrainPop is extremely useful for all teachers, and I think should be completely utilized. All subjects are present, and students can learn and explore a variety of topics. However, teachers can utilize lesson plans, standards, and create homework assignments on the website. Truly a great site to add to a PLN.

I chose this site because it has a wide variety of topics and different kinds of sites. I would use this more as a fun or laid back kind of activity (like if you need to use up a day inbetween units or right before a holiday break). The kids could find a game or site that interested them and just crusie around. Or, to make it a little more involved, they could find 15-20 facts that they find interesting that they never knew before.
  •
This websire is a great way to get student involved and excited about science! it is motly for older students. there are links to to an "electronic zoo" which then has a bunch of links to lessons on alot of animals in the animla kingdom made by teahers and students to be interactive and interdisciplinary. This site provides games for many different subjects. When children play games that are fun and educational they don't really realize they are playing a learning game. These games all look fun which will get them interested in playing them. I would probably try to get in a computer lab every once in a while to allow children to play games for each subject to help get them used to using a computer and also to have them learning about all the different subjects.
  •
Educational Games: Students can learn while playing Animal Games, Art Games, Music Games, Math Games, Logic Games, Geography Games, Memory Games, Science Videos, etc. These are very interactive games that allow students to apply what they have learned in class to online games! Kids health is a website geared for parents, teachers, and kids. There are separate sections to the website which you must choose. Each section is tailored towards a certain group. Parents can gain knowledge and receive advice for questions they have. Students can receive help on homework, and ask questions about their body and how it works. Lastly, teachers can give answers, as well as receive them, seek advice, and have straight talk.

Kids Health targets younger children, teens, and parents. This website could give advice for teens, and for the younger children understand how the body works. I would use this for a guide for my lessons or any questions my students might have.

KidsHealth is the #1 most-trusted source for physician-reviewed information and advice on children's health and parenting issues. For parents, kids, teens, and educators, in English and in Spanish. Offers a variety of resources for many different topics.

this website provides a variety of lessons for physical education. Not all kids enjoy PE and hate running but this website includes lessons such as steal the flag football, rhythm sticks, cooperative handball and many more. One lesson that stuck out to me was "Juast a minute" where the coach/ teacher reads a book just a minute and they discuss how long a minute is and have the kids close their eyes and put heads down for a minute. (which is hard for younger kids) Then they discuss if their body is healthy they should be able to do any activity for a minute wihtout stopping. This was interesting, the teacher could create any activity for them to do for a minute which is very creative.

Has many different subject areas in math set up as games, practice problems, and even dictionaries. Seems to be set up for students in middle school. Very colorful and active.

This is a website that makes math fun. It is full of math games and teaching strategies. This has math fun for older students, as in middle and high schoolers. This site has the potential to make kids want to learn math.

This website features many categories of math that can help students with their skills. It includes games and fun activities for students to practice with math. The math areas that this website includes are prealgebra, algebra, pre-calculus/trig, and geometry. This is a great math website with a lot of activities for middle school students.

I feel like this website would catch student's attention very well because of the different colors. This website is also very well organized into sections and it is easy to find exactly what you want, whether it is puzzles, games, or just homework help. This website also has everything from "math 4 kids" to precalc and calc. This could be a very easy thing to students to use at home as well as in class, if computers are available.

I choose this site because it is a notes website for when a student is stuck on a lesson. This site can be used in my future classroom by supplying it to my students and their parents for when they need to look at more notes.
