Please do not bother to apply to this group if you are affiliated with any SEO related endeavors. Also, do not bother to apply if you have just joined Diigo, have an incomplete profile, and/or have very few links posted to your Diigo profile. These are all indicators that you may be a spammer and are unlikely to contribute positively to this community. Sorry to be harsh, but I want to be very clear about what this group is about!

    Thanks!

Don't get rejected from the group.... - 9 views

Make sure to indicate why you want to join when you request membership. If you have few Diigo friends, few bookmarks or questionable bookmarks and do not give a reason for joining, I'm likely to think you are a spammer and will decline your membership. We've had issues with people spamming this group and I'm trying to avoid misuse of this group

I have been rejecting membership from people fit the above criteria. Feel free to message me or rejoin if you think you've been wrongly rejected!

    FYI -

There's a group in Facebook with the same name. I must have seen it before I created this group and the name stuck in my subconscious. So I just want to let you all know that I can't claim fame for thinking of the name Twitter Freaks... and I would change it if I could in this group! It does have a nice ring to it...

After some particularly lovely SPAM last week, I decided to take Maggie's advice and make membership moderated. People know have to be approved to join. I hope that does not hinder people from participating in our group!

Has there been a spam problem in this group so far? What prompted your post, Maggie?

Ultimately the group owner and group members have the "responsibilities" to actively monitor, control the content (or actively remove inappropriate ones), etc. Group manager also has many group settings - like to invite you to read the "Group" in our Help to learn more about various options available to you.

Thanks, Maggie! Sure, we'd love to be a featured group!

(Note: if a group is being featured, while it gets great exposure and attracts more like-minded folks, there is also the potential downside to attract some spam as well.) Just let us know if you're interested or not. Either way is fine.

    Hi All -

Let's try and keep sharing of resources in this group to things that are related to microblogging (i.e. Jaiku, Twitter). The intention is that this will be a one stop shopping mall for anything related to Twitter, so that people don't have comb through through individual collections.

Also, feel free to rate links, start discussions on links, and annotate them as you see fit. I think that's where the real power of Diigo lies!

If you're looking to share other kinds of resources, try Vicki Davis' educator Diigo group. Anything goes there! Or you can share links to your friends directly!

    Hey Fellow Twit Freaks -

Have you noticed the thumbs up next to each bookmark in this group? Let's see if we can rate bookmarks this way, and add some annotations as well!

    Thanks for joining.

    In twitdom,

    Lucy
