I found this website to be very helpful when it came to discussing flow and how to achieve that. Besides talking about using visual cues to guide the readers eyes, using space to control flow, and creating harmony using flow, it also gives examples of various websites that have demonstrated good flow of design.

This a good website that gives you various examples on repetition from business cards to flyers. It has several different pages but it gives very good examples. At the very end it tells you how to get it and what to avoid.

In this weeks reading we learned about the various forms of alignment and how the grid system works in a design layout. This website touches on all that, gives great examples, but you will have to click on each page to view everything which is like 8 short pages.

This website went over everything that was in this weeks reading and it was more in a condensed version on my opinion. Why i really liked this website than the other two i bookmarked, this one gave really good examples of the type of balance that was being discussed and also made it easier to understand.

Summary: This website goes over the principle of design for balance touching on the topic of symmetrical balance which is basically what ever is done one side of a design you do on the other side, copy cat. Then it goes on to tell about asymmetrical balance win color, value, shape, position, texture, and eye direction.

Summary: Contrast is usually kept simple, like color for the beginners but there are other elements to consider when it comes to contrast in any design. The first thing that most of learn in color contrast and the obvious of color is the white and black which is okay but there are other ways to use color to grab attention as the examples under color with explain. Next to color that grabs attention is size, the bigger the better as the writer explains because it shows that something is important and will draw the read to read the rest. Then we have shape contrast which gives a different feel to make other things notable cause no one likes to see a plain and boring design. Finally there is positional contrast that makes hierarchy standout by using different alignments. I found this website to the be the best because it touch on everything in the reading and gave examples to show what is meant on each topic. 

This website gives instructions about how to write the basic five- paragraph essay. It starts off with telling the reader/writer what the introduction should do and that is to tell the readers what the essay will be about. Then it goes on to discuss paragraph 2, 3, and 4, which is the body paragraphs which supports the topics of each paragraph. Finally it tell you about the conclusion and what it does. It also gives additional tips for writing a good essay

There have been times that we have all come to a point when we have just simply gone totally blank when it came to writing an essay and to have simple writing instructions like this one discussed in this website will get the old hamster running again. It is even very useful for those people who have never written an essay in their life.

I really thought this was the best webste that i came across out of the three because the writer wrote this article in a very simple way and was easy to understand what is meant by emphasis. The writer did not use anything was to hard to understand, another thing that i found to be very helpful was how she gave the reader ideas on how to improve using emphasis in things that you do in regards to layout and design.

This article went over mostly everything that the reading had presented, however the author made her version of presenting Emphasis in a way that even a elementary student would understand. What helped get her points across as by using two examples for emphasis and then went on to explain what approach the design teams used in form of emphasis.

On this website it was a more condesned version of what was covered in the text reading. It really did not go into depth like the book did on each topic but it did touch on the topics giving a brief descrpition along with pictures. This website would most likely be used for someone who is new to the whole design and layout field.

This website was what the reading in Basic of desgin would call KISS because it covered everything that we read but it covered it in a simpler version. It gave little pictures along with each topic that associated with the topic.
